These are my cons with this program, if they would implement and change the following, I think 360 Total Security will be much better than it is now.

    Here is my cons:

    • Sandbox needs more options (File recovery, Auto clear Sandbox, Optional Bookmark access for browsers)
    • Having both Bitdefender and Avira engines enabled, can take up a lot of memory
    • Patch Up needs to specify the source of the download (Aka – Microsoft servers)
    • No option to ignore an item, if something is found under “Speedup”
    • Facebook login, needs an optional selection if a user wants it displayed or not.
    • Cleanup needs to specify to the user, exactly what files need to be deleted
    • Download Manager should be optional and should not be included by default (Its just extra junk)

What are your cons with 360 Total Security, I am curious to hear what you have to say

That's severe/critical bug you encountered then. It is not a normal behaviour and shouldn't be happening.
I am sorry, I find no solution to your problem. As for the deleted programs, perhaps reinstallation of those affected
should repair the damage, while still retaining registration status.

Unfortunately my XYplorer was a Give Away of the Day and I can not reinstall it and would have to now buy a license. Until I can feel confident in 360 products I will not be using them. also, 360 TS bricked my 360 Browser and I lost all of my user profile with all the themes and extensions. I am now using Firefox.

Aren't the four (4) Engines of 360 Total Security,
    by far,
better than the one of Comodo?

The last Real-Time test of AV-Comparatives
brings Quihoo-360 on the top performers. :thumb:

I was not talking about CIS AV detection rate (which is where TS is better) but about features.

I would not expect anything else. Having 4 AV engines under the hood doesn't bode well. Every AV provider tries to hone and optimize its solution to be as light as possible and it's not an easy task. Some AV solutions succeed more and some less in this area. Anyway every AV is an unique solution that has all its features built on an unique core. The majority of developers don't build their solutions to work together with others, and Bitdefender and Avira are especially to be named, moreover under one shelter. So if 360TS uses the full engines, not somehow lightened, it logically has to have a performance impact.

It's Not just AV Detection Rates. :(

It is the overall Real-Time Protection,
    measured by AV-Comparatives,
which is the most crucial element of Security. ;)

Comodo's Auto-Sandbox and HIPS offers better protection.

Maybe when a new version is available, we can post a link? Often the newest versions are not on the Qihoo website.

I just did a search for it, and could only find it on Russian websites. I tried downloading a copy, and 360TS quarantined it.

Which brings up another issues. I have it set to ask me, yet it always just takes actions without giving me a choice.

Is there any proficiently-recognized Test to verify the above?

Changelog is not updated unless there is a major release/new stuff, download it, overwrite, and see for yourself.
Otherwise, wait for autoupdate to kick in....

In my experience, it never does with this program. Always have to update manually.

Happened to a machine I work in the office, was surprised myself, it just popped up asking me to overwrite, I did, silently installed, opened GUI, noticed version change, went up here and noticed new version is out 5 minutes ago...

Just got home, my pc also updated [prompted to overwrite, after that silent install] automatically.

The statement is true, where Comodo lacks in it's Antivirus and ability to repair compromised/faulty system, it gains in it's containment technology, HIPS and Sandbox, which ARE stronger than that of Qihoo, which is, I'd say, behavior blocker. Both have Sandbox technology, which, when used as intended, provide strong protection.
But still, come on, people, Avira and Bitdefender together, what more could you ask for, Kaspersky and Norton alltogether? Just wait for HerdProtect :p

    Hi

I like TS and think it has got potential but it still needs some work for instance they have to implement ability for scheduled scans that is of course a must in this as they say flagship product .

It seems that the problem with the Av engines is solved in this version when i tried IS last week there where big problems with them .

I will stick with IS for now and keep an eye entusiasticly on the TS development .

Seeing as how Comodo tops Matousec tests, it ain't fanboyism. :)
