Avira Rescue CD Question

MajorGeeks has the new R-CD at 282 MB. When you go to the Avira website, it is 606 MB.

Anyone know why there is a difference in size?


I do not think anything “funny” is going on, but I was just wondering why since it has been a day and Avira has not updated their website yet.

I am still confused as to why MajorGeeks would offer the 282 MB version with a date of 6-9-14. I have tried sending an email to them, (MajorGeeks) but I have not received an answer yet.

The website updated only when there is a new version.
i.e. :
For Avira Suite the last update was : Jun 3, 2014
For Avira IS also: Jun 3, 2014
For Avira free: Jun 2, 2014
