    As thread suggests,
how do I create the Linux based recovery disks or bootable USB drives from Paragon Hard disk Manager Professional 14?
I've just started using Paragon Hard Disk Manager Professional 14 and also Backup and Recovery Compact 14.
I can't find the option to create the recovery environment on either of them.
I downloaded the Recovery Media Builder and Boot Media Builder, but they are asking for Windows ADK to build WINPE based recovery environment.
Well the Linux based no frills Recovery Environment on the HDM 12 still are quite enough for my recovery needs, so I wonder where it has gone in the allegedly "Newer and Better" HDM 14 PRO and Compact?

Also how do I enable File level Backups in HDM14 PRO?
file level backups in my system were much lesser in size than the default sector level backups the last time I used them.

Install HDM 14, go to the files in C: and look for the ISO folder. In this folder there are two ISO images with the Linux recovery environment. You can build a boot medium with any of them, use x64 to boot UEFI systems. To create a boot CD, burn the ISO with your burner program (ImgBurn, Windows, Nero). To create a boot USB key, use Rufus.

You can also use the Recovery Media Builder.

Hello Robin A. thanks for the response
Where can I find Recovery Media Builder for Paragon Backup and Recovery Compact?
Can Recovery Media Builder only be downloaded from my account page? are there no direct links?
I tried using Rufus to create the Linux Boot Iso, but it doesn't work for some reason, my previous iso's still do work though.

Rufus has never failed me, and I have used it many times. But this is not the forum section to discuss it. You could open a thread in another forum, if you are interested.

AFAIK, Recovery MB must be downloaded from the account > My downloads.

But in my account and my brother's too there are no Recovery Media Builders listed under Paragon B&R Compact.

    Compact was a giveaway program.

Linux iso is included, but it is not immediately obvious. You can burn it to cd, or put it on usb stick with Rufus. It is in a folder call iso, funnily enough, right here:

Winpe media creation was not included with the compact giveaway, nor is it in your account.

    For paid/registered versions:

If you want to create winpe media, the paragon boot media builder requires a big download from MS.

I think recovery media builder attempts to use winre.wim from your hard drive - if it can find it.

By the way, in the new build 10.1.21.638 BR2014free, RMB embedded in the main installer.
It even allows you to record WinPE on flash-drive.

Only one problem I see: in non-English Windows 8.1 x64, the main interface improperly displayed.

A radical change in the way Paragon programs create WinPEs is long overdue. The current procedures are overly complicated and limited. Especially in HDM 14, I have had many problems with this. I am using only the Linux boot medium.

Thanks, just had a look at it.

    2014-05-25_031853.jpg

Nevermind, I making something that will do it. Quite complicated. It can be run on any os / any bit version Vista and newer ( might work on xp - I have had to guess for xp ).

Looks like this. Some finishing touches needed. Hopefully ready soon.

Many thanks to Nikita for his fabulous Just Manager http://justmanager.ru/
