A valuable input, indeed. Rational and fully explanatory why do you hate WOT.

BTW, if we consider that we have more than 7 billions of living humans on Earth and almost 120 millions of WOT users, you do hate almost 2% of the World population. ? ? ?

Well, problem probably lies in usage of word HATE, I personally hate enemies, idiots etc. but definitely not WOT users. I may don't agree with their comments but that's no reason to think I am better than them. But OK, we have each different culture.

Sure. Peace. I just recalled my good old English teacher, who warned me against usage of word HATE and it seemed to me too harsh to hate people because of their comments. Nothing more nothing less. You know I am an old school guy, so forgive me.

no problem, i used that word because the topic's title :D

more seriously i don't like much WOT because most of their users are security-clueless and rate sites badly or too good just based on feelings rather than technical approaches.

I use it and find it informative. But I just don't rely it like an ultimate security addon that's all.

Glad everything's alright between us. :)

Yeah, AV scanners like Norton's SafeWeb or BitDeffender's TrafficLights or Avira's Browser Safety or any other are probably better and more accurate in deciding whether a site/link is clean or not because they don't rely on users' feelings. WOT ratings should be considered more as a feedback how users rate a site what is also not bad at all. Many users like to see how the others have rated sites. They want to know if a site is generally well accepted by the public, safe for children, buying and so on. I guess that having an AV scanner and WOT or Webutation should be more than sufficient.
