The forum banner doesn't blend with the BG in vB Fluid theme, though.

Saw this thread and tried vB 3.x-Fluid....I'm not getting a headache anymore trying to read through the forum posts.

I loved the previous style. After a couple days i still find the default one too bright and messy.

If you go to your preferences you can set your preferred theme and it should not change.

Edit: as for the poll, on a laptop/desktop I definitely prefer vB 3.x - Fluid. On my smartphone however, the two themes are mostly equal. I do prefer vB 3.x - Fluid because it has some darker colors however the post buttons look ugly. With the default style, the button are just text.

Dumb question--why do you log out? I never log out. In fact, I've never considered logging out.

I'm not trying to be smart. I really am curious. For example, should I be logging out for a particular reason?

Voted for vB 3.x-fluid. The default is too hard on my old eyes which aren't too damn good to begin with.

I've just tried to read Wilders on my smart phone, and the default style is better, therefore my final choice is "Fluid" for my notebooks and "Default" for my smartphone, although I rarely use my smartphone to read these forums.

They also charge for themes in XF? I thought it's only IPB who milks their userbase? But I agree, black BG w/ white text = a clear winner to me too.

    P.S.: No, I'm not pushing.

I agree. Darker background would make forum much more eyes-friendly.

I made it like that on purpose since I didn't know how to de-link it in a good way. The one below should work better. :)

    http://www.fx-software.co.uk/assistive.htm

FYI there are a few vendors wich sees that site as bad or a malware site on VirusTotal but they are FP's. There's nothing malicious or dangerous about that site that I know of. I mention this since you might get a warning or site block if you use products from any of those vendors.

Edit: it's only Bitdefender wich see it as a malware site currently, the other vendors have fixed the FP.

:) No, I still use default skin as I like it's aesthetics better. I dimmed my screen a little bit, but darker background with modern style would be even better.

I see, yes something darker for the default would be nice, but the background in the bluepearl link above is not dark(er) it's totally black :p and that would be way too dark and not better. I don't use the current deafult since it's too bright, and I wouldn't use the default if it would be changed to black either, navigation, finding buttons etc.. would be too hard on a total black background even if the text is white. Something inbetween would be best, then no one would think that it's too bright or too dark. We'll see what happens sooner or later.

But in any case too bright/dark members will still have the vB fluid to fall back on wich feels good :thumb:

I got an "alert" saying that you tagged me...o_O

Is that because you wrote @SweX ? I guess that's why anyway. :)
Edit: I have the setting "tags you in a message" enabled so that must be it.

@hqsec Did you get an alert now too? :D (probably not if you got the above setting disabled)

@SweX - no I didn't, I got message that my post was quoted. I guess it only shows one alert if quoting and tagging is in the same post. Check your alert for this post :)

That's strange I got another "quoted your post" alert. I have all options in alert preferences enabled. How about you?
