Honestly, I love it. To me I would rate it right behind Sandboxie on impact and functionality. Much better then the 2 from other known vendors. My only suggestion would be to make it clear the contents on closing browser like Sandboxie. It will allow on shutdown but the option on closing is what is best suited for most users. In testing I could not get any malware to break it. Really a great product.

Blackcat- You do realize that as a freeware download one does not give Name, Address, Credit Card info, etc.

So basically I would say that information never given is the most secure.

How do you rate 360 overall for the non-technical user? Anything for them to be frightened of?

Honestly, I assume any program on my computer is using my information. Especially the programs that are free.

thank you trjam. It seems very good and it's the first time I am using it. Upon scouring the net, it does get high marks. I like the simple interface and design. I might stick with this one for awhile.

    thank you Qihu!

thanks Amin! It is running great on my machines. I like to sandbox the browser and it looks like it's doing the job perfectly.

I've been using this for a week solid now. It's as light as WSA, and I feel better about the protection (even if it isn't a better), enough so that I have uninstalled WSA for now.

I reinstalled beta 5. It weird that is still uses the BD engine. If they are moving to Avira, like in Total Security, then why have a beta with Bitdefender?

Can 360 be set to ask before taking any action or does it make a decision for you.

    You can adjust the setting both in the Scan and the Antivirus settings;

Curious to your opinion on it. Were you able to import bookmarks from Chrome? Does it have a bookmarks bar like Chrome?

Yes i was able. some Futures:

    1. Ad Filter: hide unwanted advertisements.

    2. Dual Engine: powered by both Webkit and IE web engines.

    3. Secure Browsing: filter phishing and malicious URLs.

    4. Video Pop-out: place video in an always-on-top window.

On the address bar, there is a plus sign, click on it, it shows cloud protection like malicious site, injected code system (not available on XP), etc...

    Do you know
What is "show blocked ads on banner"?

HitmanPro.Alert covers 360 Browser as well.

Oh, it's just another version of Chrome.

Can we keep this thread specifically to the AV and place any Browser discussion in this new thread; https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=362103

Perhaps 360 IS will stay with the BD engine and total with avira?
I've been using 360 IS about 5 months now and still loving it for its lightness & strong protection. ;)

I wish Qihoo would use Bitdefender + AVIRA + their own cloud/heur engines. That would be totally awesome. Two top ranking AV engines. :D

With the option of choosing which ones were real time and which ones were used during a scan? Sounds great to me. I really like this AV, it seems like it would be a paid version it is so good. My only qualm is that it doesn't play well with limited user accounts, so I had to remove it from my daughters pc.

How do we know that they are moving from Bitdefender to Avira?

I have read that the chinese version has 5 engines

Taking into account the bad scores of 360IS at AVC why there is so many people "supporting" it? just curiosity.

Especially when it has been proved that they steal information, passwords, financial data...
