maybe, just maybe it was set to delete those files on next restart, but without restarting and checking it again you can't validate this and as I understand there is no possibility to prove it since files are gone already.

Sher- Please look at the time stamps on the files that are left. You will notice that they have been changed to the time that you scanned them. Qihoo will on occasion repair some files (mainly by removing a malicious component backdoored onto a file). It was easier to see what was done to a particular file in the older Qihoo builds, but not so much especially if one uses version 5 beta.

You compare the original file in a pack and the same file Qihoo fixed by submitting them both to VirusTotal. The differences before and after repair can be plainly seen.

    Hello everybody..
Just a quick question, can I use the url filtering feature together with, say, Bitdefender TrafficLight or would this slow down my browsing or cause any other type conflicts?

    Thank you...

I guess it would be ok since 360's url filtering isn't as powerful as BD TrafficLight, therefore you hopefully won't experience conflict issues. : )

Indeed 360 Total Security seems a bit delayed. It was announced to be released "a few days after the Mobile World Congress", and now a month has passed.

Hope they will finally launch it soon!

    Hi,

I am currently running Qihoo 360 IS + CF (HIPS OFF + Fully virtualised) + K9. What web filter should I add seeing that Qihoo 360 Web Filter is practically non existent and I don't think K9 is sufficient. I was thinking of avast (just install the web part) or Panda (the URL filter part) or Bitdefender Traffic Light plugin.

    Any recommendations?

K9 + browser's built-in protection should be enough in case you are not a malware hunter...

I have grown tired of using 360 IS, due to lack of English help files & documentation and uninstalled it. Also do not like looking at all the cartoons and crap on Facebook as the 360 IS company users online AV forum......

Good for you BobH44AZ. Taking a stand against against a fantastic AV product, cartoons and various crap. You go, boy! Just don't fly too close to the sun. :D

I am not "taking a stand against it", I have used 360 IS since last June . I wish Qihoo 360 Technology Co. and people who use their products the best , I just decided that I would rather use Eset Nod 32 and have access to Eset's dedicated web users forum and free phone help and online tools that are in English Language, etc, etc, . .....

    Regards,
    BobH...................

BobH44AZ, your complaints are stated above. So it took 8 months for those issues to take hold? Nothing concerning the products capabilities or lack there of? In fact you say nothing constructive in any way shape or form about Qihoo 360. Since this particular thread was first started, it has proven consistently to have very high participation with some very knowledgeable Wilders forum members. Unfortunately, this thread has also attracted a very unhealthy share of Xenophobic contributions. Frankly, when posting to this thread you should have something constructive to say. Tell us in your opinion that it's too heavy on system resources, or you wish the settings were more granular, or you feel it has lousy Zero-day detection capabilities. You bring up a lack of "English" help files or documentation more than once. I find it odd that it took you eight months for this issue to reach critical mass. I'm sorry but if a lack of all English help files was that important to you then why did it take you so long to make the switch to ESET? Not to mention your dislike for a cartoony looking support page.

Considering what I have explained to you, your stated issues with 360 IS, and the fact that this thread is not titled "Why I uninstalled 360 IS and why I decided to go with a paid solution", you could forgive me for being extremely suspicious of your motives. Especially since you posted this last year:
Not to mention this on March 14th just 10 days ago:
Oh wait! I thought you were locked in tight with NOD32? You did say that, right? The bottom line is you are now much happier with all things English and an absence of cartoony looking support pages? Or could it be Bob that you just like to stir the pot a bit? A little on this thread and a bit over there, etc, etc. Anyway, I don't expect you have anything to contribute to this thread anymore. Good luck! :D

Hey , What happened ? you missed one ............... kinda wondering why you didn't have time to jump in and raise hell with my post back then .
Seems to me you are the one stirring a pot of Rants and acting like a troll or perhaps you are the sell appointed keeper of the 360 IS thread ? ..........

Lastly I read Wilders forum posts to learn, not to engage in or challenge experts in IT security . Also I have never posted " That I am locked into Nod 32"............ Seems to me that you have personal a problem with that.................
There is an old saying on the Aces High Forum, I dealing with trolls...
"Don't Feed the Rat"..................... You got one thing right, I no intent and have no interest in getting in a ~snipped~ with you or anyone else .

It would be a great addition & real plus +, if Qihu 360 English users, had a users forum on the English http://www.360safe.com web site .

It would seems to me it would benefit everyone .

    Regards,
    BobH.

Wow! A possibly offensive phrase removed. I've never seen that before. What did you say Bob? Aces high? Is that in Las Vegas? You misunderstood about NOD32. You said you were switching over to Eset because of language issues and the cartoony looking forum with 360. Normally when you obtain a license for a paid product you are set for at least a year. Hence, locked in. Unless you are trialing everything until you find the perfect solution, in which case you will not find one. I would not continually change your AV week to week on a quest for the Holy Grail. I'm glad to hear you will not engage in or challenge experts in IT security. That sounds like a very good plan. Lets see how you do with NOD32. Which is a great product by the way. Remember, if you have issues with NOD32, this is the 360 IS thread. Anyway, NOD32 is quite good and I believe it has English help files and documentation with no cartoony looking forums. Something to keep in mind. It is quite common to find AV solutions in many parts of Asia that have bright, colorful and often even cartoony looking interfaces. Same with the company websites. This aspect while very common in Asia is often seen by people in the U.S. as gaudy and childish looking. For many people it distracts from the AV as a serious product. As ridiculous as that is and sounds, it is true.

360 IS is really great it has even smart HIPS. The only tiny prob here is its Web filter is not as mature as of Avast or Emsisoft.

Any idea if they also include AVC (Active Virus Control behavior analysis module) with the BitDefender engine or just the regular scanning one?

you're truly flexible in adapting to various security situations and solutions :)
    Congrats trjam :thumb:

Among those [so many] features which are added to TS version, I hardly doubt that AVC isn't included as well

in fact as from now I'm gonna call it "360 Security OS" instead of so called "360 TS" :D
