Am i stupid or Kaspersky actually doesn't offer PayPal payment? I'm not using credit card at all because i just transfer funds to PayPal via PayPal Topup and then i can spend it without any credit card what so ever. That's weird...

Yep, I'm afraid that at least their online store just accepts credit cards.

However, you can always try buying through ebay which is the method I used for my country.

I have bought AVs 90% of the time through ebay. No problems, and normally the best prices unless a special from Frys or other online vendors.

With regional locks (afaik), possibilities of keys not working and complications later, i'd prefer to buy directly from Kaspersky. I wouldn't mind paying tiny bit more if i was 100% sure everything will be fine.

    how about this one? http://store.v3.co.uk/?act=search&brand=55

"We supply Kaspersky codes suitable for the UK and European Union. Due to recent changes in the way Kaspersky allow product activation, Kaspersky codes now include regional encoding"

And you can pay with PayPal

Just a bit curious. I buy my security software from Download Crew http://store.downloadcrew.com/ it is funny how similar these sites are. You know if they are the same company?

Thx, totally forgot about this store. At least i know it's a trustworthy one and comes with € currency to avoid the PayPal currency conversion costs.

If you are worried about the acceptance of your keys from Kaspersky's point of view, I would be cautious using their products. Should you run into issues with your keys, it could take weeks before they get back to you at all and even then they might refuse to help you, because you got it from somewhere they don't officially recognize.

I remember a problem with customers of a German cable ISP a few months back, where due to routing issues on the ISP's side Kaspersky's licence server thought they were trying to activate an EU licence from outside the EU. The customers did not receive any help from Kaspersky (they didn't answer) and had to help themselves by tethering their computer to their smartphone and trying to activate the license using the smartphones mobile internet (different provider).

Just imagine you have problems with your key and it will take weeks to get a reaction and then they tell you "Oh sorry, we don't officially support that specific store, so go %&!" yourself." So in the end, unless you buy from Kaspersky (= DigitalRiver actually) or something really big, like Amazon (but not marketplace, only directly please), it's up to Kaspersky's haphazard mercy whether they recognize your key or not.

So, they'd rather see me not buying their product. License sold is a license sold. It's not like V3 steals them and then sells them. They had to buy them from Kaspersky one way or another. So, why exactly would they treat customers like that?

The .com is the US site with our US partner (BetaNews), so codes here are aimed at the US and international market.

The .co.uk is the UK site, and effectively the original store, which serves the UK/EU, hence the wider selection of Kaspersky codes.

There are other partner stores, such as the Dutch and Australian stores.

I failed to specify above that I am talking about Kaspersky retailers for your country that sell through ebay. Good luck.

Oh, this is stupid. the kaspersky.co.uk site does serve in EUR and does support PayPal, but guess what. Slovenia is NOT on the list. In fact, no EU country is listed, just UK, Ireland and Falkland islands. They seem to be desperately fighting off my money... Fail much?

The same organization manages both store platforms so yes they are the same.

There's a very very good reason for this: Kaspersky has separate, independent offices in each EU territory. Although Kaspersky codes will activate across the EU, there are internal issues within Kaspersky about pan-EU code distribution.

As an example, if you bought a serial from Kaspersky UK, living in Germany, then Kaspersky Germany has to pay for post-sale support. ie. they earn no money from your UK serial code purchase, but have to provide support.

Don't look at Kaspersky as a single entity. Each country is self-contained and self-financed, which is why Kaspersky Germany doesn't want German users to buy codes from other EU territories! So, Kaspersky UK can't be seen to be pro-actively targeting other EU users, despite the fact the codes will work in Slovenia.

Such a contradiction, as the entire point we signed up to the EU was to allow free trade across borders.

Apparently V3 sells UK and EU enabled Kaspersky licenses. It's just a question whether Kaspersky treats Slovenia as part of EU. We are in it for years, but many still treat us like we are some kind of country from Africa ( )...

In the end, after trialing KIS 2014, i found out it's not that great. AV part is awesome, no doubt about that, but SafeMoney is useless for me and it stuffs like 5 addons into Firefox. Seriously!? It looks like i'll be staying with Comodo IS.

uuhm, there is one add-on for safe money (no?) while the others are for virtual keyboard, keylogging jamming, website reputation. You don't need all of them if you are allergic to add-ons. Of course if you use Firefox and their crazy, if not stupid, update scheduling killing all add-ons (I have abandon it for this reason) then you will face problems at the time of new FF releases. :)

No, it's the way how it is executed and how it blocks the other browser addons. The way i run security, i simply need certain security related addons. And without those, SafeMoney is useless.
