    I've written a review of Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) 201403 64-bit version, a Debian-based distribution, with the Cinnamon desktop environment, tested in a quad-boot setup on a laptop with Intel graphics and SSD, covering live session, install and post-install use, including Wireless, Bluetooth, Samba, Multimedia playback - Apple (iTunes, Quicktime), Flash, MP3, HD video, partitioning, applications, look & feel, desktop effects, package management, performance, resource usage, stability, suspend & resume, a single big problem of no printing over Samba, and more. Enjoy.

    With Ubuntu going native on Mint, LMDE has (almost) become a complete alternative for every Mint user.
    Nice for Clem et al as a bargaining/ace-up-the-sleeve position, when having to negotiate payments for Ubuntu packaging.
    Prolly the new biggusdickusking in town. Rebel Rebel!

    I haven't tested 32-bit so I can't say.
    As to stability, seems ok in my brief escapade.

    I had to drop LMDE 2013 UP7 Cinnamon in favor of SolydK64 KDE with Debian Testing in sources.list. The former was buggy.

    To me, LMDE 201403 was somewhat buggy too.
    Better use original Debian directly if someone wants debian, IMHO.

    Seems that LMDE doesn't come with a driver manager... unfortunate.

    I used this and had troubles with my ATI card;
    Code:
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get remove --purge fglrx*
    sudo apt-get install fglrx-driver fglrx-control
    sudo aticonfig --initial
    I have not tried the drivers from AMD's website though.
