    Hi Dan,

Thank you for license and email. :thumb:

I'll reply soon to your email. ;)

    Some feedback about VoodooShield.

I believe that there is a small typo (mangage)

    VS-manage.png

When I click on it nothing happens?

    VS-edit.png

Finally I'd like to say that it is very interesting program
and I really like it. VoodooShield is now in my favourite list. :)

PS. Dan, I'll send you soon a PM with some information about tray menu.

    Regards,
    Kardo

I have no trouble accessing the whitelist via Settings > Edit Whitelist.

However, I only have the one computer but, I am showing 3 computers. Seems to be in error.

Hey Kardo, thank you, we appreciate that, the typo is fixed BTW ;). The edit whitelist button is supposed to open up your whitelist in the default browser. We hope to have this integrated into the software for 2.0 so that users do not have to go to the web to edit their whitelist. Sounds great on the tray menu, thank you!

Hey Tarnak, yes, at some point we need to figure out a mechanism for removing old whitelists automatically. I think once you guys start testing 2.0, we will be able to focus on this a little more as you guys are taking it for a test drive. Thank you!

    Hi Dan,

    Thank you for your reply.

    Good. :thumb:

I've tried several times without any success. (Windows 8.1 - 32bit).

Will try again today and let you know. ;)

    Great! :)

Been trying out VS alongside WSA for a few days now and have a couple of thoughts:

    1. I can't get the Virustotal option to work properly. It looks up the file, opens a webpage showing the summary but the popup is stuck with the left hand Virustotal icon spinning for ever.

    2. I don't like the fact that VS shows as an entry in the task list (I.E. Alt-Tab list). I prefer to run it with only a tray icon showing but this task list entry will confuse people. Can I assume that with 2.0 going to a service that this goes away?

    3. There has been feedback on the colours for 2.0. While I prefer a plain lighter look I also find the current version windows a bit busy (a simple window with minimal text and a "more info" button would be preferable).

    thanks

    Sounds great Kardo, thank you!

Hi 800ster, the VT stuff will be fixed in 2.0. We could go back and fix the remaining bugs, but it is COMPLETELY redone in 2.0, which will be ready very soon.

We never noticed the Alt-Tab issue, thank you for pointing that out! I agree, it does not belong there, and I am sure that is an easy fix. I hid it from the taskbar a long time ago, but never noticed it remained in the alt-tab list.

Yeah, I know what you mean, our graphic design needs a little help, and it would be cool to make it appear less busy as well. Thank you for your suggestions!

    Dan,

As promised I tested "Edit Whitelist" button again and still nothing happens.

My default browser is Google Chrome and OS: Windows 8.1 Pro (32-bit).

If you need more information just let me know.

    Regards,
    Kardo

Thank you Kardo for letting me know. I wonder what happens if you temporarily set your default browser to IE? We actually had this issue awhile back, and it turned out to be something silly and unrelated to VS I believe. Either way, I am pretty sure that we are going to be able to integrate this option into the VS 2.0 software, so that button will pull up a form within VS.

It is kind of strange that it does not work on some systems. It is just a Click sub that does a Process.Start method to open "https://voodooshield.com/account/". It should not be too hard to debug, huh? ;). Thanks again!

    Dan,

Thank you for your answer. :thumb:

I will try and let you know. ;)

Because I use the same method - Process.Start("website url"); I'll try to open a page via Crystal Security tray menu.

I must point out that I had the same problem with Crystal Security (was reported by some users).

    Solves the problem. :)

Absolutely agree with you. ;) Simple method and should not cause problems.

    Regards,
    Kardo

Internet Explorer as default browser - works :) :thumb:
Google Chrome as default browser - does not work

Strange.. because I also tried with Crystal Security and everything is fine (Chrome as default and IE as default).

Hey Kardo, thank you for taking the time to test that and letting me know! That is really odd, but it will be fixed in 2.0 either way.

    Hi VS

That is great news...thanks. But only if you are super sure that it is ready for the stress of beta testing...LOL :D

Yes, we definitely need to make sure it is stable before we release the beta, especially since we are running the engine as a service and made serious changes under the hood. I think there is a good chance that it will be ready and stable by Sunday. Once again, sorry it is taking so long. Thank you!

    Known conflicts list?

Hopefully MBAE and appguard arn't on the list, as I would love to run those with Voodoo Shield...... well, at least appguard, as I already have a licence for that.

Hi, none so far, but we have not tested the compatibility with other software yet. It really should work great with just about everything though, and any incompatibilities should be easy to fix. Thank you!

I have been trying voodooshield trial along with WSA for last 5 days. So far I am finding the combo to be a perfect combo.
