When we can expect HMP Alert 3 beta?

There's no way to add exclusions? I rather not turn it off

BTW with each new beta is it best to un-install the old version first? I can't find the post regarding this

Just turn it off, then on again under settings..

Non beta will auto update by itself.

Im also waiting. After they release HMA i'm really tempted to start using HMP+HMA permanently in my setup. (Paid license)

Uninstalled 2.6.2.72, as I continue to get event code 6281 (audit failures) and event code 214 (check for update fail) in Event Viewer. I am not hearing a viable explanation for what's causing all these these warnings and failures. Although I am told that
I am not comfortable with simply assuming the app is working properly while generating those warnings. I'll just wait for the release of the next version and try that.

Have been running Hitman Pro Alert 2.6.2 beta with no problems combined with Windows Defender on Windows 8.1 along with SRP and EMET 5.0. I switched to Kaspersky Internet Security and found that Kaspersky would not install with Hitman Pro Alert installed. Removed Hitman and Kaspersky installs, updates and runs fine along with SRP and EMET 5.0. If I removed Hitman, install Kaspersky and then add Hitman Alert, Hitman prevents Kaspersky from updating and after reboot, prevents Kaspersky from starting. Appears to be a conflict between the two softwares.

Yes, this is a known issue I believe.

About event code 6281, are you running Windows 8?
The event code 214 is caused because there is no update file available (yet).
The flyout is not a warning but a message stating its working.

    I'm running Win 7.

I am aware you stated that is how to determine it is working. But my concern is about the event viewer warnings. You just explained code 214, what's the business with the code 6281 audit fails?

Will this be released soon? I have a friend who is deploying to the Middle East soon, and her internet is too flaky for me to attempt a proper RDS on her laptop while she's there.

Yeah, we're all waiting. The conference was over some time ago and still no Beta. Perhaps it's still QA for a little while more.

For all those waiting for Alert 3: we are working on tinkering the GUI and testing compatibility with various AVs. I expect to have a testable beta in the next 2 weeks, maybe sooner.

Good! The more QA before release the better! :)

Does that mean the 2.6 beta is dead?

    Good question.

the simplest answer seems to be that build 2.6 beta will be replaced by build 3 beta...

What options will their be for workstation deployment for Hitmanpro Alert? The company I work for is interested in pushing it out to several hundred workstations and I was curious if it will be deployable in a similar manner as hitmanpro is.

We provide a single EXE with command line options like /install /uninstall /quiet. In addition we have a GPO template planned for configuration.

Are there other things you need? Please let me know :thumb:

Can someone please tell me how to get this god awful program to uninstall? It doesn't show up on programs to uninstall. Manual uninstall via CMD gives me error 5. Any ideas? Really shouldn't be this tough. Also the conflict with Bitdefender is still alive and well. Everytime the browser starts I get a few pop ups that say that the system intrusion.

Make sure you run with Administrative privileges when running uninstall from command line.

Bitdefender issue has been fixed with Alert version 2.6.

    Have you tried

    1.
    As Administrator
    WinKey+R
    hmpalert.exe /uninstall
    OK
    reboot

And if 1. doesn't help, then
    2.
    Cmd.exe (Run as Administrator)
    net stop hmpalert
    Enter
    hmpalert.exe /uninstall
    Enter
    Exit
    Enter
    reboot

If both 1. and 2. don't help, then I hope Erik can help.
