What is your security setup these days?

I use sandboxie for more than just the browser. Any internet facing program gets sandboxed. That includes adobe, flash, java, etc. As well as a download folder that all my downloads from every browser go into to. So yes I really do need it.

 

i think you can do the same with CIS (except the download folders) , sure you have less options and have to setup every processes in the sandbox but still doable.

 

You can but sandboxie has a lot more restrictions and is far more configurable. Along with the instant recovery and auto cleaning contents and the ability to sandbox a folder. (Which I was surprised you can't do with comodo) I'd much rather stick with sandboxie because of all those features. Sandboxie is just more refined.

i will surely add WSA but i wonder what may happen if Viruscope and WSA rollback feature activate each other on the same threat

 

Normally I just run CFW with WSA and sandboxie but CIS runs so light that I don't mind the additional I/O Bytes. Good question to ask either Triple helix or prevx help.

 

It seems to me that guest can achieve the same protection by using Shadow Defender (which he already has)!

True, the only difference will be that Sbie allows execution restrictions (in example against keyloggers) where SD just remove anything added on the protected drives.

Today i uninstalled Webroot SecureAnywhere AntiVirus, i think it does not bring me anymore protection or more feeling that i'am super safe. But i do miss some features, like Active Processes list, because there was time display how long each process was running.

What i still have is:
Emsisoft Anti-Malware 8.1
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO
(+MBAE and HMP.Alert)

I did surf (with no good reason) 2 weeks without Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit BETA
and after that 2or3 weeks without HitmanPro.Alert 2.5/6 BETA.
But i need them to get that super safe feeling

 

Two different pieces of software. I have shadow defender but only use it for testing. Don't like the system virt since sometimes I forget to commit things and they get wiped on reboot.

 

There ya go. Ditto switched back to CFW and of course WSA and sandboxie.

 

I have WSA alone with no problems but I may add some sort of good hips maybe comodo or online armor let ya know my changes,WSA is super light and like some one said before in previous post the active process list is very important to have to see how long and what is running in the where my eyes don't seeif I see a type of malware or you know I will for sure hit block,end of story

I'm running WSA Complete alone....I go back and forth as to needing a tad more but it should handle it, and has so far.
