32 bit version of office will work with 32 bit email clients and other 32 bit programs. I had 64 bit MS office 2010 and it would not send documents to an email client. My email client was 32 bit and so I was screwed. On the other hand 64 bit runs faster on slow 64 bit netbooks.
I would have picked this option but 1x/year when I do a powerpoint presentation I do it on my old laptop with Microsoft Office XP PowerPoint. I do it on native office because I want to make sure that the presenation will be readable on the computer at school/work. Maybe in the future I will do the presentations on Libre Office and just fire up Office XP to check if things look the way they suppose to. But in a way I still use it on rare occasions.
Few years ago when I switched from Windows XP to Windows 7, I also replaced Office 2003 with Office 2010. Regards, hqsec
The best part is that I won't have to use any version. I wish there wan an option to change my answer. I am currently using LO and I used to use Office XP edition to double check the formatting. Now that Microsoft has online documents, i simply copy and paste over there.
Even as a student(admitedly, computer science), I don't really need it. I use Google Doc's when I do.
Can mods close this thread? I want to make an updated poll with office online option which is currently missing.
