Tried Bitdefender anti virus and Eset Nod recently, lasted about a day, back to Avast. I think I have a huge comfort level with Avast and anything else seems weird.

Yes Securon, go Habs, at least you have one team right, the other correct team would be the might green Riders.

Added ESET NOD32 to WSA and it continues to run very light...fast. Securon, my same adjectives for Jamie Benn and he stays here with the STARS!!:argh:

Good Morning! Digmor...Avast relates to your comfort zone in using the App. I also have a license for Avast A/V Pro...but am turned off by it's well intentioned but over zealous Marketing Campaigns. I'm on the other hand a diehard Ti-Cat fan...we'll exact our revenge on the Green Riders this coming season...and without Kory Sheets...well...things become pretty one dimensional. Lol! Ti-Cats Eat Em' Raw! Lol! Sincerely...Securon

Good Afternoon! Just re-installed HMP & HMP Alert...to compliment WSA...and Avira 2014 I.S. And vhl71...I would recommend Hitman Pro...but Bitdefender Total Security is a Full House...and it's Browser Protection is Top Notch. So see how Bitdefender works with your existing set-up then if needed give HMP a go. Sincerely...Securon

I'm running Ahnlab's V3 Internet Security now, and am finding it to be exceptionally light so far. What I really don't like about it though, is that while you can set it to not automatically take action when a threat is found, you can't get it to prompt for action - only skip the file. When an on demand scan is finished, if you have it set to skip infected files, there is no ability to take action on any of the found infections after the scan has completed.

Also, the detection rate is blow par. On the plus side, it does not detect PUPs. Before installing V3, I scanned 100 installers (some which could be considered PUPs, but nothing malicious) from my downloads folder at VirusTotal and it detected nothing - there were even no files identified as suspicious due to heuristics, and no false positives.

I'm currently looking for a new setup on Win 8, so I'm still testing. :)

    ----------------------------------
    OS: Win 8.1 64 bit

    Realtime:

    SpyShelter Firewall
    Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit

    On demand:

    McAfee LiveSafe
    Sandboxie
    VirusTotal Uploader
    ------------------------------------

I've also tested EXE Radar Pro, but it didn't work correctly, will try again.

SpyShelter Firewall is very powerful, but a bit unhandy to operate and manage.

Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit needs to get a new GUI, it's way too basic.

I will of course remove McAfee LiveSafe, it came preinstalled. ;)

Giving Appguard a whirl, I know its overkill with my setup but going to see if I like it. If I do I'm thinking uninstall MBAE and HitmanPro Alert and go with Appguard, Avast, MBAM, WinPatrol and Cryptoprevent. Sound like a good plan?
