    Hi guys,

This sounds interesting, but as I'm not a Lazesoft user I would like to know if this only runs from its boot disk or can it also be installed in (and run from) Windows? o_O

    Thanks,
    Cruise

As standard it will install under Windows but can be installed on any partition.

I normally run it under Windows for Data Recovery purposes and evaluation.

I believe the initial focus for this software was data recovery and it is designed to image "broken" partitions which Windows cannot access,
so that if your subsequent attempts with this or ANY OTHER UTILITY actually do further damage,
then you can undo the damage by restoring the image and then try something else.

I have no doubts about the full capabilities of its WinPE Boot Recovery Disk to not only rescue data and partitions,
but to also Clone, Image, and Restore images of any disk or partition.

Obviously nothing, including Macrium / Acronis / etc.
will continue to run under Windows whilst restoring the Windows System partition, and I guess the same is true for Lazesoft.

I have had NO problem running Lazesoft under Windows to make and restore image backups to non-system partitions.
It appears that oliverjia has imaged C:\ and her only criticism is that the previous version did not compress very well.

If you wish to know whether Lazesoft can run under Windows and accurately image every sector I suggest you contact the developers,
who are friendly and respond quickly.

According to my test a max of 400 Mb varies with operating system you are making the disk for.
