I fired off a "smart backup" on Windows 8.0 x64 just before lunch. Saving to external USB3.0 HD. Within seconds, the progress shot up to 50% complete with 1 minute 54 seconds to complete. Knowing no-way too good to be true, I went to lunch. Came back in an hour and the progress had only reached 65% with 5 minutes 52 seconds remaining. Clicked on cancel and waited another 3 minutes before giving up and killing the process with task manager. Will fire off another attempt before leaving tonight. Anyone else experiencing this?
The reason you are seeing it this way is due to the partition structure of the disk. The Paragon Software will divide up the percentage of completion based upon the number of partitions on the disk. I.E. 2 partitions, first partition 0-50% completion, second partition 50-100% completion. If there was no data in the first partition it's why it jumped so quickly.
