    just purchased HDM14 Business and was impressed with the Retention Wizard.

    However, I'm unsure how to password protect the backups. I can manually create a backup and set a password. Should I copy that line item into the //Backup sections of .psi file created by the Retention Wizard?

    // Backup
    img = STRING(IMGPATH) + "/Diff_0004p.000"
    base = STRING(LATESTFULL) + "/Full_Disk0_0004p.000"
    select disk 0
    select partition primary 4
    options
    cmp = 10
    noarcfiles
    pwde = "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
    label = "No comment"
    autonames
    hotbackup lockimpossible
    tempdrive C
    usevss
    index = STRING(IMGPATH) + "/System.pfi"
    store

    Yes, it works. I tried to copy the password hash from .psl created manually (no need to do a backup, enough save the script) in .psl created with RetWiz. Everything works, my password is suitable.
    Why You do not want check it yourself?

    because i'm 1200 miles away from the site and the office is not live so i have no hand/eyes on the ground. in addition, i was hoping someone might be able to verify that pasting that one line will not only password protect the file, but will actually encrypt the data.

    i do thank you for helping with the password protect verification part.

    The password protection has not been implemented into the retention wizard as of yet, but it is something that is currently being worked on, just to give you a heads up.
