After some more days of using PIA, I can confirm that the speed is exactly the same as Air, I bit higher than Boleh.
But all in the same level, the bottleneck for me is the DSL, I guess any VPN works fine, given its low speed.

On Wednesday I was at Milan Airport. No way! PIA could not reach any server, I think the provider has blocked some ports as mirimir said.
Since I was with the kindle fire I could not play too much with client settings and I gave up.

Thanks! The more I think about it the less it is a PIA's fault. Im at a Univeristy in New York and they have not only blocked VPNs but also Proxys. Now Im forced to use Tor to bypass their cencorship.
And why do organizations go to such extent to block anonymity is just scary.... Anyways, I still used Tor to stick up to them.

Was PIA trying to connect on 1194? Can you switch to 53, 80, or 443?

I don't know. You can and I tried but it didn't work and I didn't bother investigating on a solution. Perhaps once I find a reliable and fast VPN service somewhere in Rusisa or China and I go full time VPN then I will investigate this.

    Russia: Insorg
    China: o_O

And by the way, Insorg is working just fine. I had neglected to update my credentials.

Yeah but it is expansive and i will have to wait until I get a better job. Then I will play with a set up that will bypass those stupid blockades that schools/airports and whoever else puts out there.

Well, they can still prevent connecting to the VPN server.

If they're blocking the entry IP's, no. You could maybe two-hop through your own machine at home?

My speculation is that they cannot block the IP address, they would have to keep a database of too many IP's given the numbers of VPN's out there.
I again think it's a port blocking. Next time I am there I am going to try it harder...:D

Im glad. It will for sure distinguish them from other VPN providers. I have not re-activated my one month subscription and for variety of reasons im not using any VPN provider.
