Pilli, you should of gone the next step up and bought some PC3500/3700 RAM. Pretty much all Athlons can run at that bus speed, and you don't necessarily have to overclock the CPU either, you can still get the gains in memory bandwidth.

As soon as you start to get serious with overclocking though you realize you start to need more advanced cooling, etc, which makes a fat wallet a thin one pretty quickly. :)

I'd like to see some very overclocked Athlon scores in here soon. :)

Hi Caliban, Wow! Good score, is that the latest Pentium with the larger internal cache?

Nice score Caliban, highest I have seen yet. I updated the top scores from the first post to include yours as number 1. You bumped off simonp's overclocked Celeron score. :)

    Hi, Caliban

    Yes a very good score.

I have tried for 2 hours to beat it, hands up I can not get to it at the moment.

    To unstable to keep pushing.

    Once again Congratulations.

    Take Care,

PS: Best I can come up with is this:-

Nice overclock for the Athlon XP TheQuest, I have updated your score with this new one. :)

I will be releasing a small public BETA release of a newer CryptoSuite benchmark program that I hope everyone in here can use and submit the results to our site (it will be automated most likely). It's ETA will most likely be in a few days.

    Hi, Jason_DiamondCS

Thanks Jason, will have another try when it cools down, it is hot very humid here in the UK at the moment. [hot for the UK this not like were you are :)]

That is not an excuse for not beating that massive score of Caliban's, I do not know if my system will be able to get to it , let alone pass it :doubt:.

    Looking forward to the Update.

    Take Care,
    TheQuest

Nice score Doug, is your system already overclocked a little? I thought the 3500+ was 2.2GHz but the screenshot shows 2266MHz?

A p4 2.8 northwood with a mild 10% overclock for the entire system. Haven't experimented with higher voltages yet though. My board only supports DDR but it runs perfectly at the higher speeds. DDR400 @ 440 and 800FSB @ 880 !! No heat problems even at full load for extended peroids. ;)

I'll try the new benchmark now....
