  1. Smart move with MBAE in the pipe line and EMET only providing substantial protection for Vista and Above. Now I also understand why MBAE and EMET have overlapping protection, to close the exploit gap for XP which will likely happen after microsoft stops support. :thumb:

I have had this strange sound issue, whenever MBAM updates. I get a sound that sounds like a very fast and abrupt 'hey'. This has occurred since updating Adobe flashplayer, recently.

nothing in common but this a really stupid opinion and if, you should provide some poc's for the rest of world. anyway some serious vulnerabilities only were fixed in SP3 and no security software can fix that. vendors have to work on some given facts and not to resolve already fixed bugs they are not responsible for. thats why most of them will drop XP SP2 near future. i would say that no-business software will drop SP3 this year too. never mind.

I figured out what caused the sound issue that I described in a post above.

It was because I had updated to v1.2.8.1 of MJ RegWatcher, when the problem started happening.

Turning off 'enable sounds' in the settings of MJ Regwatcher when alerts occur, fixed the issue.

  10. Which programs to allow outbound in FireWall?

Congrats on engine optimization: launch time IE11 improved, in absolute terms not much, but relatively reduced to 50%

Question: disabling notifications not only disables program notifications, but also warnings. I would like to differentiate between program notifications (e.g. protection disabled) and protection notifications (e.g. bad website blocked)

Don't use your 1.x license key for 2.x right now. Please use the key that was provided! :)

    LICENSE KEY:

    id: MBAM2BETA
    key: 4XZHE-6ANRN-TKWCV-EV6HZ-G79PH

Jesus man, you gotta do something about that interface. It's awful! Looks more like a rogue
And there's no quick scan if i understand correctly? Only custom scan now?
Also, one suggestion/request; i tested the free version and no registry entries (except Trolltech junk), no registering ocx and dlls, so PLEASE make a portable version of the free MBAM, it would be super cool!

    ...and change the interface :p

I like the interface, it's clean :). The previous one was old and gray!

There's a Threat Scan -- just click Scan and try it. Custom Scan is exactly that, a custom scan for those who want it.

Perhaps it's only my imagination but boot time seems slightly faster and access time to the internet also seems faster with this edition. I have real-time and malicious website protection active.

    Two things that I don't even count as bugs;
The successful update notification still shows even though that option is unchecked in the schedule options settings.
    -and-
I really don't see the need for a notification that a scan has started when that scan was started manually.

    anyway, so far so good.
Many thanks to the Malwarebytes team for adding rootkit detection and Chameleon.

Any time a GUI undergoes a major change it takes a while to get accustomed to it. This new look is ok- not great- not bad.
At least they didn't give it a 'Metro' look. :D
