Hi Cruise. The message meant nothing as no one who got the message reported a real issue. I never got to see it since I updated to 4.07.05 before updating Windows.

Sandboxie users should give Invincea a chance to prove themselves instead of shutting the doors or place a gap in terms of interaction and activity. Do not distance yourself away and give the impression that you have given up on the future prospects of Sandboxie. Doing so might backfire because it gives an excuse for Invincea to lose motivation. IMO, they acquired Sandboxie because they see a potential in developing the product for the home market.

With plenty of home users willing to report bugs, make feature requests and then test the Beta versions, it makes for a good testbed to improve the program at accelerated speed of development. Meanwhile, stability is given higher priority for FreeSpace which is intended for the enterprise market. A 2-way development system so to speak.

Think of AppGuard, Red Hat and Firefox ESR to get what I'msaying. Of course, I might be wrong but wrong with optimism is healthier they say.

Bo, I am still using iexplorer 9 and very rarely use it. My main browser is Palemoon and I have no issues with it and version 4.06. (see my sig.) However I just might take 4.08 for a spin and see how it works. Go Broncos

Wolf, improving stability has been constant in SBIE version 4. To me, version 4.06 is 6 versions too old.;)

SBIE 4.08 is running A-ok for me as well (actually, I don't notice any difference from the 4.07.05 beta).

So will Sandboxie eventually be called FreeSpace, or will it continue with the Sandboxie name that we all know and love?

Same here, no problems and no apparent difference with 4.07.05 beta.

You could ask the Mods over at Sandboxie forum. I would like to see Invincea
keep the name Sandboxie and it's core functions in honor of Tzuk.

We've been extremely busy with the transition while we still have Ronen. We're integrating
Sandboxie 4.06 into our product right now (currently we are on 3.86). Our first goal is
to build & post the Sandboxie 4.07 release all by ourselves sometime next week. If you
find any bugs, or especially security holes, we want to know about them.

    Latest version 4.07.05 (beta)

    Sandboxie version 4.08 ... Released on 19 January 2014

"Our first goal is to build and post the Sandboxie 4.07 release all by ourselves sometime
    next week".

Doesn't Curt mean version 4.08 of Sandboxie?

4.07 was a beta. Maybe Even numbers are releases? Not sure 4.05 was a beta and 4.06 was the release. Just an observation.

    He wrote 4.07 by mistake.

kjdemuth, 4.06 and 4.08 are stable versions.

I guess they meant 3.76. There was no 3.86 version number.

Right. So odd numbers seem like they are betas and evens are stable versions.

I don't have time to read through this entire thread.

Basically it looks like the Sandboxie developer will be leaving, or has left? Either way, won't be around for much longer after the transition. Lifetime license is gone. This is all bad news. Do we have an alternative product pegged yet?

In a strange twist of fate, I almost owned Sandboxie for $5,000.00 several years back. He was really excited about the price, but decided he'd rather keep it 'free', as it was more important to keep it free then to make money. I guess he changed his mind when millions were tossed his way, not that I blame him.

Another lost opportunity for me. I should be a millionaire 5 times over if I wasn't absolutely amazing at missing out - just by an inch - on opportunities like this. :thumbd:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the old lifetime licenses still valid? It's the new purchases that need to pay a yearly fee.

    If you'd love to...

Was just in the Sandboxie forum and read the posts. Maybe we should mark this day as a "Sandboxie memorial" day in respect for Tzuk. :)
