I found it to be one of the lightest antiviruses but still too heavy for me on my system, but still worth trying to see how it performs for you.

I just installed the Chinese ver 5. Seeing that I can't read Chinese it was interesting. ;) Its almost the same GUI as the english 360 so I could figure some stuff out. It had some pop ups that I really couldn't understand and the first scan showed rundll as a unwanted start up. Hmmmm. Guess I'll have to wait will the newest english version comes out.

Been using/testing this for about a week now. Gotta say its quickly becoming my all time favorite AV:thumb: :thumb:

EDIT: Just wish for two things, First is a functioning Web Shield and second a English Forum.

I don't use firefox (anymore) so I wouldn't know. What I mean was they get a functioning one for Google Chrome or IE (don't know if the IE one works) because in its current state it blocks no websites at all.

I don't know why the English Version name different than in Chinese Version.
I have been using this for like 1 month plus.
There also have another PC Manager works like Tencent QQ PC Manager.

Chinese Version of 360 Antivirus (where you guys call it 360 IS)

Another 360 PC Manager looks like this, Chinese Version.

China Security product now tend to become like game style. Doing everyday tasks for leveling, collecting coins or points for reward exchange (I don't find this is useful in overseas...), and also ask to "recruit" and invites friends to join (to use the product, type of very good advertising).

They should name the english version 360 AV instead of IS.

Chinese version have 5 engines. Sounds biased.
    1. 360 Cloud Engine
    2. Bitdefender Engine
    3. Avira Engine
    4. QVM II Engine
    5. System Recovery Engine (some sort of intelligent system repair engine)

Damn them. Wish they include the 5 engines for the english as well. That would make a powerful AV having both bitdefender and avira.

360 Internet Security V4.8 is now out with even stronger and smoother functionality than ever, the specific features are outlined below:

    1) 360 Internet Security 2013 is now 360 Internet Security. Most security suites provide large annual updates, but given 360 Internet Security’s update cycle ranging from 2-3 weeks, 360 has designed its products to be more responsive to user demands. As always, 360 Internet Security remains completely free.

    2) 360 Internet Security 32-bit and 64-bit versions have been merged into a single installation: now there’s no need for the user to determine whether or not their machine is most compatible with 32-bit or 64-bit installations; in version 4.8, 360 Internet Security will automatically differentiate between installation packages to determine which is most suitable for the user’s PC.

    3) Automatic Updates: Don’t worry about whether or 360 Internet Security is up to date. 360 will alert you to new upgrades and automatically update its virus and malicious URL database. Automatic updates provide the most comprehensive protection for your PC.

    4) Improved Theme Functionality: Whether you like blue, red or black, 360 Internet Security allows users to easily switch between client interface themes. Choose your favorite theme and share with friends on Facebook and Twitter.

It’s still worth mentioning that 360 Internet Security stands out from other antivirus software in that it is and will continue to remain completely free of charge. If you’re looking for the strongest (and free-est!) antivirus then make sure to download 360 Internet Security version 4.8 for Windows from our homepage at http://360safe.com/pc.html.

It's similar to Sandboxie, just not as configurable. You can block internet access from it for example and few other minor things and that's it basically.

I just installed this AV and so far I like it a lot. I will keep it for a while and see how it performs. Is there any known problems if installed next to Sandboxie?

    Regards, hqsec
