And of course there's always the service provided by your ISP, normally requiring you to install a mail client of which there are quite a few good free ones (I use and am quite happy with Thunderbird, from Mozilla).

I think also Zoho is an option.
Imap works for sure, I am not sure about POP.

    Thank you all

Please note that Yahoo doesn't give POP3 access for free,
they want a payment for that..

    I will check GMX..

Using the mailbox from your ISP is problematic, since you might one day want to switch to a different ISP,
and using the ISP's mailbox for all your stuff, will make changing ISPs difficult.

IMHO a mailbox should be from an independent source..

    wow, very nice
    will read it now
    Thank you verymuch

    hmm
Can you please tell me where're the setting to enable or disable it?

When I searched for "yahoo pop3", it gave me a page that shows that it's a "Yahoo Ad Free" feature.
    (Ad Free = 50$/year)

Depends on the ISP, of course. In my case I've stayed with mine over 15 years, mainly because their customer service and tech support have stayed top-notch and they could certainly give lessons in both fields to other telecom operations. A good indicator of that is that until fairly recently they didn't have to spend a penny on advertising, getting virtually all their new customers from word of mouth from other satisfied customers and from computer shops.
