Are these software site scan files before uploading?

I mean those sites like CNET, Softonics, FreewareFiles, Snapfiles
Softpedia, FileHippo something like these.
Do they even scanned their files before release to their website?
Or they're just download & upload to their site?

or if anyone know which do and which don't please tell me.
I need to know about it.

 

I'm not the best one to answer this, but I can give an opinion on some of these based on what I have seen before. CNET should be watched out for, as they have a habit of including their own "download managers" and stuff with software from their site. Softpedia, a lot of people including some here give it a thumbs up. However, I can tell you that I have downloaded some real crappers from there and several of them have come with surprises in the form of adware and whatnot. FileHippo and MajorGeeks seem to be the ones trustworthy enough to deal with regularly, but how and when they do any scans I just am not certain.

Thank you for informations. I've recently avoid cnet & softonics mainly.
I'm quite trust majorgeeks, softpedia, filehippo for sometimes.
Since they've direct download & mirror downloads. However,
these days when I like to download from the author sites than 3rd party.

But there some of authors that upload their files to cnet.
I don't get it why they don't upload them to cloud storage like
google drive, dropbox, skydrive?
I even learn that usually software creator themselves doesn't like
people to download their software from 3rd party sites like them.
They rather like user download directly from their site & contribute, donations.
But why some creator themselves still upload to cnet?
