point 1 : After un-ignoring, a new scan is required to get this items back.

Got it, YES, un-ignore followed by Scan worked :) :)

Point2 - thanks, I read it yesterday and thought there might be more to it. Makes sense and is clearly explained.

I noticed today that StreamTransport and XMediaRecode had new versions out, that SUMo didn't detect. Why?

    Thank you !
Sorry for the quick update of the v3.10 branch but many users lost capability to have their SUMo client getting in touch with update server... and no easy workaround was possible on server side.

    Still on 3.9.4.221 on XP:
When I removed ALL entries detected by Deep scan, it crashed SUMo with "indice de liste hors limites(0)" error (not in English). I couldn't exit. I had to use ProcessExplorer to kill SUMo. Should I file a bug report for this? If yes, what should be attached?

    Hi !

Looks very similar to what I noticed once and already logged there : http://www.kcsoftwares.com/bugs/view.php?id=2410

Please add a note to this report with your description and i'll have this fixed in the days to come... Looks like we'll need a 3.10.2 in 2013 ? :)

Done. I included screenshots and some logs.

Now back to my point 3 in post#873 - revert scan type
In settings, I tried with or without reload, I tried setting Normal scan, I tried setting Ask and replied Normal. No matter what I do, it's doing the long, deep scan. I'm sure there's a simple 2-3 step procedure, but I just can't get the magic sequence going :(

Would you please be so kind to do it ?

Thanks ! (going back to code :)

Kyle, I submitted it as a bug, but still am not convinced it's a bug. I'm new to this and just don't know the steps.
I did finally manage to revert to a normal scan by deleting 2 files in the KC directory, but that's unlikely what one is to do.

Happy New Year! Don't work too hard :)

It's obviously not a bug but it may lead to a new feature, like flushing the database when user selects to revert from deep to normal.

Unfortunately not, the version reported is 0.0.0.0.

Then you should ask its developper to add versionning info in exe properties and SUMo will show it up in its listing automatically.

    Hi,

Can I use SUMo as on-demand? I don't want it running in the background but to occasionally check for updates with it.
