They should work fine together, but someone else should be able to clarify if they use them together.

I have been using them together several months...no problems or slow downs etc.:thumb:

I just noticed this happening again with higher CPU with ZAL. I turned off the Identity Shield in WSA and the Zemana CPU lowered to normal.

I'm pretty sure the identity shield is giving me problems with initializing my browser.

Think I found an issue with this release. My explorer.exe is hovering around 280k on idle. Wasn't there a similar issue a few builds back? Anyone care to take a look at your task manager?

Mine is at 10,520K at idle.

I disabled and turned off WSA and the problem went away. Might just be me though.
PS- I no longer have appguard running since I figured that was the problem.

The antivirus software on your computer helps protect against viruses, but it may not secure your browsing experience against the latest, rapidly changing computer threats. That’s why we offer you Webroot SecureAnywhere Identity Shield at no cost.... https://www.unionbank.com/commercial-bank/webroot.jsp

Yes, Windows 8.1 is flagging any modification to its process and causing higher RAM usage because of it. We have several security components which load in and we're working on hopefully implementing a workaround but it uses only already-free RAM so it won't cause negative contention.

Ok so it's not just me then. I am running Win 8.1 64. Forgot to mention that. Is this just implemented from the last update? Thanks for getting back to me Joe.

No, this has been happening for a while.

Prior to this update explorer wasn't giving me any problems. I'm normally poking around task manager and didn't notice it to be high before the update. In fact the last two updates I haven't had an issue. I had been tweaking my setup for the past 2 months.

I'm up around 300MB of memory for Windows Explorer.

I noticed that this update gets rid of secure file deletion in the WSA antivirus. It was nice while it lasted.

Where are "Unsafe Websites, Links and search results" found? Is there a browser extension for this? I'm not seeing it if there is.

    I have Windows 8.1 64bit and am using IE11.

    EDIT:

I just looked in the help file and it looks like web shield is supposed to do this. I am not seeing this while searching (Google and Bing).

"Web Shield - As you browse, the Web Shield alerts you to websites that may pose a threat. Likewise, when you use a search engine, the Web Shield analyzes the search results and displays an image next to each link, letting you know whether it's a trusted site or a potential risk."

The new 2014 Web Shield is still being rolled out slowing but when you do get it your Browsers will ask to install Webroot Filtering Extensions on IE, Firefox & Chrome are only supported at this time.

I have only been using WSA for a few days and just looked in Chrome Settings and looked at my extensions. I saw 2 WSA ext there for the Web Filter and PW Manager. I enabled both but soon turned them off. I use Trustwave SecureBrowsing ext to filter links in facebook, twitter, and search results.

Chrome launches and runs a lot faster and better after turning off the Id Shield and Phishing Shield. I have Zemana running so i am not worried about it.

This is what I have been complaining about for a while.

In WSA Block/Allow Files should i allow Apps i don't want it to scan like AppGuard and ZA Firewall.

    Nope.

It'll scan them anyway to determine that they are what they say they are. Then when it confirms that they are what you allowed originally, it won't monitor them or block them.

Regarding this latest version I no longer see an option in the settings to allow known screenshot utilities to do screen captures. Can that option be toggled somewhere?

There are 2 places either one will do but I do the first with Snagit. Note the second option will allow many types of TRUSTED screen capture tools.

Thanks for this. The option in Identity Protection/Application Protection was where the problem was. My new screenshot tool was being blocked by WSA (dot in "deny"). Changing the setting to "protected" worked.
