Firefox and wasn't experiencing lag until I updated to newest version .
Windows 7 32 bit, Mbam.

Like I say nothing major and does seem to have settled today .

How often does this update? I have settings to notify me of updates and get a window popup once a day or sometimes a little longer. Do the "auto updates" come any faster than the "notify" setting? I don't mind so much if the updates are coming once a day. But if updates come once every day or two I can see how the web shield does not do so well against newer malware and compromised web pages/ url addresses. I can mitigate that issue with website safety add-ons and click to play/ disable js in chrome.

Any thoughts on this?

BTW - version 4.7 is running very well on my computer and this definitely looks like a keeper.

what about on "notify" ? Is it the same number of updates or does notify only work a limited of times per day? I've never gotten more than one notify about a pending up and some days don't get any.

 

I don't know. Check the update logs to see how many updates you're actually getting.

Well the 360is sandbox is working great but the detection is not high and great. In my latest test it let through a lot of zero-days malwares, adware, spyware, PUA. They need really to strengthen the AV or add a HIPS to it.

I think a HIPS would go nicely with the sandbox in 360 IS and may compensate for its failure in detection.

P.S. I was comparing 360is protection to eset nod 32 av and to my surprise eset beat 360is by blocking all malwares and almost all PUA, spyware anbd adwares. I was hoping 360is would do better the eset, since it has 3 engines and BD engine as one of them.

Well I did until it had the avira update issue. Could never update the avira engine in baidu av (it keep saying updating for ever). Must be a bug. SO I gave it up and went to something else.

 

Updates are working for me with v4.

 

Did you try manually updating the avira? Try it and see that it will keep saying updating.

 

The manual update seemed to work for me. The update ran for a while and then stopped. While I did not get any message saying the definitions had been updated, I presume this was because I already had the latest updates.

This suite is just damn impressive I started using this as my choice along with avast on my clients and I am LOVING THIS!!

Nothing gets past this suite..its amazing!!

Also contradictory to the results of AV-C and other smoky AV testers that some people may praise but for me my choice is the best bet and nothing gets past when configured correctly.
