Malwarebytes Techbench

I would have thought that Malwarebytes Techbench would have been discussed before on this forum, but I searched and was unable to find it.

In my opinion, it is very pricey and has a yearly renewal. At that price, I can't imagine there being too many sales, no matter how good it is.

Have any of you guys had the opportunity to try it? If so, what do you think?

 

Seems extremely pricey. In a corporate environment that is properly setup and monitored, a tool that expensive should never be needed in the first place.

 

Yes. I guess that is where they are trying to aim it at, but I cannot imagine a corporate environment needing it as they don't allow their systems to be infiltrated to start with.

I think this thing has lost the race before it has started, in my opinion.

 

Yes, the only thing I can think of are computer repair shops. For example if you would have 100 infected customers a year, then your expenses will be $5 per customer, which you could incorporate in the price.

 

As in, when you set 'Don't allow' nothing will ever happen? I'd disagree.
It does seem to be for a very specific niche market, as BoerenkoolMetWorst points out.

... uses other methods to secure user data. a server is more expensive but offers lot more options - for SMB with less than 10 (or 5) clients some software has no costs (only for maintenance).

 

That is the point I was trying to make.
