    Dear Sir/Madam,

I must say after finding out that a new version of True Image Version 8.0 has been launched, and no info was sent my way as an existing customer, I would think that I would have received the first news of the new version offer. In fact it should have been a free upgrade giving that.

I have had True Image for quite some time in fact some six months, the details follow:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Customer Number: 33309915
    Order Date: 11-JAN-04

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Ok.,

I have had your product with all the faults, and since I had it is been nothing but a complete let down. It has failed me with back ups and cost me precious time, creating cd boot recovery disks ( at least 25- 20 disks ) that never worked until your latest version (built 627) that has only just
    been released.

On top of that being a let down when I needed to recover from a problem, not being able to meant a complete re installed of all my software, that as you know is no small task, configuring and setting it all up again. Not to mention my cad work that I lost many hours of valuable work lost.

I persisted with your support people sending them reports in the hope I would finely receive a workable piece of software,

I purchased this software after reading about it from PC User Magazine. I believed it was a fully developed piece of software (not a beta version) as I believe it was, now looking back over all the updates I have received over the last six months.

After having this software for over six months and not being able to use it, is certainly frustrating enough, but now you have the product almost perfected, you bring out Version 8.0, I have read up on its features thinking they must have more features, otherwise why would they expect their existing customers whom have gone through the teething problems to pay more money for the end product being an upgrade, and from what I have read theres no other features I can see..

I ask you, "do you think this is fair" after what I, and a lot of your past customers have been through?

If you can't honestly say yes to this , I then ask the question where have morals goneo_O If anything I would think the loyal customers need to be addressed, and at the very least pass on the upgrade at no cost of True Image version 8.0.

    Regards Rob

from what i read, version 8 only have 4 new minor feature. But due to competition they had to release a new version to gain lost ground. If they wanted to give you a free upgrade, they would have called it version 7.1.

Come off the grass, If you look after people (customers) it will pay in the long run, rather than take the quick buck and run.

    What comes around goes around.

I don't mind paying for a good product, and I prefer that to a beta version. after all I want reliability rather than just chance it might work.

If a beta version ~snipped~ , then thats your choice, but don't ~snipped~ expect others want the same as you.
