I'm a lot happier now I've got a bookmark toolbar. So far with this new Opera, the bookmarks in the toolbar don't disappear like they used to with the Presto Opera, the new Opera is also blinkingly fast & its extensions (at least the one's I have) work well. I'm impressed. :)

As soon as Opera 19 leaves the "Developer" stream and hits "Next" (~2 weeks), I'm going in. And when it's released as a stable version I'm never looking back (to Presto).

I've got my Notes and RSS extensions. I've got LastPass to replace Wand, the Bookmark bar is functional. Yup, I'm ready.

It also renders pages well. I haven't had it break anything yet. :)

I think it will be a real contender in the not so distant future.

19 Dev version so as 19 becomes Next then Stable bookmarks bar will be renamed bookmarks bar. Opera is doing everything it can to differentiate itself from Chromium to the point of being ridiculous. They are 'adding' features that exist from the get go on Chromium and it's all based on Chromium. Opera was different but they are not making any money on desktop so they came up with the copycat strategy.

From what I can see of Opera 18 the strategy could work for them.

The wand is back - look under password managers in add-ons.

I've been using it here for a few days and it seems good to me too. I can't use Chrome due to excess cpu issues on flash videos, and I don't have that issue with Firefox or Opera, so I go with what works. Opera is nice... :)

The only problem i have with opera is i cant select tabs with my mouse pointer at the top of screen , there is a gap between the tab and top of the screen because of which i cant select tabs like i can in all other browsers

    Is this fixed ?

I have a feeling that Opera 18 is still virtually a 'beta' at the moment.

Try the stable Chromium build. It's what Opera is based on since they dumped Presto.

I just think that it is a bit 'glitchy'. I have this feeling that they have released it too early, that's all.
