I have been using Clipomatic for years with Windows XP. However, Clipomatic is not compatible with Windows Vista+. I am looking for a Windows 7 64 bit compatible Windows Clipboard Utility when I upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit in the near future.
All i've tried so far are clipx and ditto but I prefer clipx, I will try the others in the poll, thanks
How do all those clipboard manage some security features for example when using Keepass or other security-based software? Keepass basically wipes out a copied username or password from Windows clipboard after few seconds...
Isn't using sth like clipboard doesn't increase security/privacy risk? just wondering.. by the way i use none..
@dogbite: They store their clips in a separate database. You wouldn't be able to copy and paste the wiped data without re-selecting it. @harsha_mic: Depends on encryption and/or shredding of the database, and obscurity may help. Plus, you can disable and enable any time you want. I have TrueCrypt System Encryption and Linux Encrypted Home (Clipman's database is there), so minuscule increase if any.
I voted "other" although this is sort of hard to explain. On my "main/real" system (Windows7) I used the incredibly powerful program MacroExpress, and Microsoft Word, to create my own Clipboard "extender". But on my virtualmachine, where I do most of that type of work using WindowsXP, I use a VERY old program called ClipTrak. This program is BEYOND simplicity and powerful usefulness. Only problem, I got it so long ago it was actually free. The latest version will cost you (not much as I remember) and I THINK that it works in Win7, have not the fainest idea if it works in Win8. But I must say one thing: ALL of these type of programs make document and website work so much more easier. Sort of like a microwave oven, once you used one, you will never know how you lived without it (now I am REALLY showing my age). Acadia
