Good points. I use Online Armor as my primary protection against logging malware.

I have also found that using Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit works well (on demand) to protect the browser during banking / online financial sessions.

While MBAE doesn't work with a browser supervised by Sandboxie, I have system-wide protection with Shadow Defender (on demand) and the added malware protection of MBAE, OA and MBAM Pro during such sessions while Sandboxie is temporarily disabled.

Perhaps not 100% bulletproof, but then nothing is.

I'm not happy about Comodo 5.12 FW for 64bit causes only a blank screen on windows 8.0

But, thanks to Shadow Defender it does run in it's box with no problem.

No can do. Sorry. 6 is strickly a no go for my purposes.

In time I'll be able to narrow the issue enough to resolve it since it's evidently only some optical conflict because she loads up along with windows just fine.

Anyway back to keeping with this thread, in the meantime SHADOW DEFENDER is produced yet another benefit.

I have a question...I installed diskmax in shadow mode and once I rebooted all the files were gone (as expected) but prefetch, how is this happening? BTW I had it set to exit shadow mode after reboot and this has happened with other software in the past.

A very interesting question indeed. I can't say that I've personally experienced this (at least not that I'm aware of), but if there's any validity to this, it's a little scary.

Are you saying that upon restarting your system the contents of your prefetch folder were not as they were before you entered Shadow Mode and installed Diskmax?

Which versions of Windows and SD are you using? On Win7(x64) and SD 1.3.0.457 I cannot reproduce such a situation.

Overkill, I tried reproducing what you are saying (XP SP3 32 bits) but could not. I installed 4 programs in Shadow mode, Prefetch got deleted on reboot.

Yes, it happened when I tried cryptoprevent as well...all files were deleted on reboot other than prefetch files.

Your suggestion is to do nothing, if I was Overkill, I rather play detective and do something about it. Finding the culprit is not hard.

I know finding is not so hard but that depends on how much time you can investing when you have so many rooms in Garena to play :argh: .. After hell days at work its quite boring too...

Well I did find culprit but the bugs in SD like random freezes make me say "Let GO"

I may do that here soon, it would have to be between NOD32 and NVT I'm assuming.

    Hey Overkill,

If you haven't done so already, try uninstalling SD and then reinstalling it (that just might clear-up this anomoly).

Well I just finished testing SD...I first made some extra rules/exclusions with ESET and EXE Radar (just for the heck of it) then enabled shadow mode and installed a few different programs then rebooted and I then searched high and low for any traces after reboot and I found none! I am not sure what happened before and if the new configuring did anything but all I know is SD seems to be doing fine.
If it happens again, I will un-install completely and re-install and try again, thanks

I read that virtualization software can be an issue on solid state drives because they have a limited number of read and writes. Should I be concerned about using Shadow Defender on modern solid state drives, such as the Samsung 840 Pro Series, or will the effects not be noticeable during the drive's lifetime?

I'm not trying to be awkward but I think this question might better be adddressed to the hardware section as it's more about the drives capabilities and functions rather than the function of Shadow Defender.

Shadow Defender is of course continues strong to be a real piece of work.

Only thing that drives me wacky is the developer's release pace.

And all we can do is wait, and wait, and wait and even wait some more.

One thing i really respect in regards to sincerity though is this awesome LV is fully functionable across every single windows platform all across the board.

    It's legendary.

Well, if you have ample RAM you could allocate a sufficient amount of RAM for SD's Shadow Mode Cache, so that your SSD won't incur much I/O (if any at all) resulting from the use of SD! ;)

    EASTER,

I don't know if you've noticed, but Tony has released 7 new builds/versions in 2013 and the year isn't over yet! ;)
