Hi taleblou, thanks for the link :) We have also tested and yes, SecureAPlus is able to block all the malwares.

Is there a way to allow execution of a program and all the .exe it will produce but will not put it in the whitelist?

Yes but it appears there is a conflict. I can't figure out between what. I will try to reproduce the BSOD when I can.

    Hi Kupo,

If a program is not found in the whitelist, it will not be allowed to run on your computer, especially if it is a malicious program that attempt to run in the background without your knowledge. If you wish to execute a program that is not found in the whitelist and you are very sure that it is safe to run it on your computer, you need to manually trust it first before it can run. Once you trust it, it will automatically be included in the trusted list to allow subsequent running of the same program.

Hope this answers your query ;)

Question... Doesn't this use the Clam AV engine (which does not have very good ratings)?

Hi The Shadow, yes, it uses ClamAV engine but this is optional as SecureAPlus works well with most of the antivirus in the market. Users can choose to install SecureAPlus without antivirus if they already have an existing antivirus on their machine. SecureAPlus application whitelisting will then act as an added layer of defense to protect the machine against new and unknown malware.

    Hope this answers your query.

    Hi testsoso,

We have scanned SecureAPlus files, including the installers, with Hitman Pro v3.7.8 but it said "No threats found" and did not flag SecureAPlus as Trojan.

    hitmanpro_3.jpg

Unfortunately, we are unable to reproduce the problem. To help us in our investigation, please let us know the following:

    1. Did you install the full version of SecureAPlus (ie antivirus + application whitelisting) or the one without antivirus?

    2. Did you install SecureAPlus before or after installing Hitman Pro?

    3. What is your Windows operating system?

    4. Which SecureAPlus file is flagged as Trojan? It will be great if you can provide a screenshot.

    Hope to hear from you.

    Cheers,
    sinlam

Hi Testsoso, thanks for the info. We will test further today. Did you use the latest SecureAPlus version 2.0.20? Hopefully, we can reproduce it. If not, we may get more information from you.

    Thanks :)

Installing Bufferzone in Windows 8 gave me a BSOD. I thought that even though it's not updated for Windows 8 it would still work but not. The BSOD is not caused by SecureAPlus but Bufferzone.
