I am not using TTF now and I read the thread that you are linking. I am 99.99% sure that changes should be gone when he boots the computer after shutting it down. While using LV programs, I have never shut down the computer, boot later and see if changes are dropped but I had to force shutdown the PC at least 2 or 3 times using this kind of programs and changes are gone after starting the PC again. But I cant remember if this ever happened when I used TTF. Bo
Hey folks---- Anybody else having problems getting TF to release the free space when done using it? I mainly use the program to try out software. In the old version, after a re-boot I would have to open the program again and then close it, but the space it took would be released. Thanks for any input.
I just contacted James with email. He said this new TTF has a completely new engine and it can support exclution folder/file and also it is much more stable and effective than the old version. You can not feel the slow or something when using it. But with this new engine, you can not exit the Time Freeze on the fly, if you want to keep this feature, you can use the Toolwiz Care, it still include the old engine which allow u to Enter/Quit the Time freeze mode OTF. He told me that This new version has been used in more 1 M PCs, before it is only be supplied as a free SDK for the market.
I do noticed that it is much faster than before. In the previous version there is a slowdown when starting Windows after booting in frozen mode. Now it is gone.
Can you keep the computer frozen after rebooting for those programs that require a reboot after installing?
I am eagerly waiting to get home and try TTF, as I tried SD what I found lacking in TTF was exclusion and here it come... So worth a short n moreover for free.. Thx really thankful to James... Next I guess, Registry exclusion feature would be beneficial...
Thanks a lot for the news! Since 'Toolwiz Time Machine' is not anymore available - it's a welcomed news! P.S.: Using 'TTM' from a installer copy, that I acquired in their now inactivated forum.
Hey it wasn't Palemoon... Anyone using Comodo IS v5 having sudden reboot issue with TTF enabled? When I click update in CIS my PC reboots with TTF on else when TTF off it won't... Guys.... Anyone...
New version released: http://www.toolwiz.com/products/toolwiz-time-freeze/ v. 2.2.0.3000: • Fixed some spelling errors • Added Toolbar to the desktop • Fixed several minor bugs
Yes I installed and saw that... Two stuffs: 1) It doesn't work with Comodo IS along side (!mportant, needs to be fixed) 2) The Toolbar aka widget doesn't remember the changed position (could be better if done) Planning to mail James regarding it but first will replicate the same on a virtual machine to confirm...
I sent an E-Mail to James asking him if Time Freeze worked on Windows 8.1.He said " Yes, you can use it in Win8.1" .
