I need a pop-up reminder gadget/app for Win7. Been forgetting too often to do this or do that on time. Trouble is the choices are too numerous. I'll never get around to sampling them all.

Can you guys narrow the field for me & other members & visitors and nominate your favorite Pop-Up Reminder (free) to save me (& others) some research time?

I don't use any kind of popup, found that for me, the most convenient form of reminder is to post the appointment/event/whatever on my Yahoo Calendar, with an email reminder 2 days prior.

I need to do various things during the days at various times (always changing not preset times. ) So i need a reminder to pop up in e.g. 7hours or popup at 4.15p etc.

I put appts in google calendar and can then send email reminders or pop up windows at various times before the appt - it can be 2 days in advance or 2 minutes.

you could use Microsoft Outlook (the one in the Office Suite) where you can set the reminders as you like. this suppose however to have an email account with IMAP (the web based Live/Hotmail/Outlook offer this).

I used to use Rainlendar for something like this. Quite spartan and might not be to your liking but it worked for me for simple reminders. For something with more features, EssentialPIM might be the way to go.

I use EyeProtector Pro. It is a pop up reminder to relieve stress, etc. that you type in your text and set it to time and date you want it to popup. But, I have all the exercises, stretches, etc. disabled so I just use it as a popup reminder program. If you have a reminder to come up and you want it to remind you again later, you can set it to snooze and when you want it to remind you again. I really like it.

Google Keep. If you use Chrome you can have the Desktop version.

Looks great but the price... a bit to high for this kind of app. :ninja:

have you used this program? if so, do you have any comments about it? Any other commets by others would be appreciated too. I am looking for a reminder program that works with google calendar, so it can be used on my phone.

    thanks

I am looking for a replacement since google calendar sync is unsupported it seems (error code 2016)

I want to sync outlook 2003 or 2007 (if needed) with google calendar.
Looking at youtube videos it seems you need a premium account with google to use the calendar sync app replacement.

Well, I use just the Pc version, not the android one. However, it syncs with the Android app. So if you have an android phone it's even more comfy for you.
It's simple, easy to use. I like it. You can set reminders as well. Then a notification pops up on your screen or at the bottom of the taskbar, depending on your settings.

I tried also some other Chrome notepad apps, they sucked all.
