Because you are running in Locked Down mode, AppGuard won't allow any launches from User-Space. By adding the dropbox folder as a User-Space exclusion with the Include flag set to No, the folder is excluded from launch protection, which is why you are able to run dropbox, albeit unguarded unless you explicitly guard it.

If you want dropbox to run guarded in Privacy mode, in addition to the User-Space exclusion to unguard the folder, what you also have to do is add the dropbox executable to the Guarded Apps list in the Guarded Apps tab, setting the Privacy flag to On. I assume that's what you meant when you said you have dropbox guarded with Privacy mode On.

According to the AppGuard 4 Quick Start Guide (page 6), right-clicking on the tray icon should bring up a menu of about 10 different items. Mine does not. In fact, it looks pretty much the same as it did in version 3.5.6. Any suggestions?

Edit: Jumped the gun on this one, I guess. All's well now.

Anyone running avast! and AppGuard 4? If so, what avast! components did you add to power apps?

Yes, I am; and no, I didn't add any avast! components to Power Apps.

What is particularly great with this new version 4, is that I now have no need at all for adding powerapp :thumb: :thumb:

...and AG is running just nice here (7x64), good job BlueRidge !

edit Forgot to say that the new interface is a beauty, IMO.

Pete, AppGuard does not protect the entire registry - only critical components. Do you know which keys it was modifying?

I'm checking on a discount for Wilders Forum members. I'll also check on a price for single activation.

If you previously purchased AppGuard (or were given a key by Eirik), you should have received an email with another license. If you have not, please email your contact info (Full Name, Wilders Login, email address associated with the previous key) along with the key to AppGuard@BlueRidge.com. They will either provide you with another key or bump up your beta license activations to 4.

If you purchased AppGuard previously, your beta license should have been increased to 4 activations. If you had not purchased AppGuard previously, then your Beta license will remain at 1 activation.

Thanks for looking into it Barb.I think single user license would find many takers,it would be great if there was an option for single user license as well.

Looks like we're going to offer a $10 dollar coupon to Wilder's posters for the 3-activation license. Not sure if we'll be offering a single-activation license.

I'll post the details about the Coupon when I know them.

That is really neat, Barb. Heck at the price it should matter if it's one or three activations. Thats $19 and if they don't want to pay that, I say to bad.

Barb, any update/resolution on why Media Center will not run when it's in 'Guarded Apps'? By default, Media Player is there and I have no problems.

Win 8.1 Pro x64 clean install.
