I had used this product in the past, but never noticed AVG attached to it. Now it is listed as AVG TuneUp Utilities. Did AVG recently acquire this utilities product?

Also, can anyone tell me anything about AVG Premium Security 2014? What is this, and how does it relate to their other security products?

    Thanks.

if you care about your system you'd better drop this piece of software, at least 2014 is making lots of trouble.

    In September 2011!

AVG PC Tuneup 2014 is basically TuneUp Utilities 2014 re-branded. Odd thing is though, whereas TuneUp Utilities 2014 includes an unlimited non-expiring license, AVG PC Tuneup 2014 only includes a license for a year.

AVG Premium Security sits above AVG Internet Security. It contains everything that Internet Security includes, but also includes a QuickTune module (basically a cut-down AVG PC Tuneup), plus the license now covers a premium version of their Android security app.

Thanks for the info. I am currently not using this product. Just saw it advertised a few places and noticed the AVG connection. I dropped the product because I was getting BSODs when trying to change stuff like icons in various places. I think it digs too deep and disrupts some aspects of the operating system or memory.

It's because TuneUp Utilities won't let you upgrade for free when a new version is out, while AVG PC Tuneup does (just like the rest of AVG's products).

However, it should be pointed out that when bu Tune-Up Utilities, your serial key provided only works for that version. If you want to upgrade to a newer version you need to buy it again, but you can do so at a discounted price.
