WSA protection components like Realtime Shield, Rootkit Shield, USB Shield, Offline Shield and Firewall are turned off during startup and I can't re-enable them. :(

Running Windows 8 Pro x64 with ESET Smart Security 7.

I ESS blocking any part of Webroot if it does please let any Webroot processes or actions to complete and without being Blocked? Please do a clean reinstall of WSA! Make sure you have a copy of your keycode and Download a new installer here then Uninstall and Reboot then install with the new installer and let it finish it's install scan and then Reboot again and please report back to let us know if all is fine!

    Thanks,

    Daniel ;)

This is due to a licensing change required in our backend, which is in the process of being rolled out. In the meantime, you can write into our support inbox and they'll correct your keycode for you.

Let me know if you have any questions!

I can confirm this. I had the same problem yesterday. I had a part file which I couldn't delete. I restored an image from a couple of months ago. WSA was still 2013 version. I scanned with it. And it downloaded and updated itself to 2014. But then the Identity Shield and the Firewall wouldn't turn on. I tried many times but to no avail. I restarted but same thing. I tried again in the evening. Same thing. Today morning all the shields were up and running. No prob so far. I would do a clean reinstall but of course I wanted to observe the problem more.

So this is a system-wide problem? Will it be fixed soon? I am willing to wait.

It is in the process of being changed - a batch of license keys was never updated from the 2012 features to the 2013/2014 features and the latest agent release locks down the available functionality to specifically what the database supplies to prevent abuse. I don't have an exact ETA for when all of the affected keys will be moved over but it will take place automatically, or you can write into support and they can do it for you immediately.

    Lol

He means that you can wait and the problem will resolve itself, or you can write into support and they will fix the problem for you immediately.
