What is your security setup these days?

I have disabled all the autotrust features, deleted OA's default whitelist, and built my own whitelist. I didn't get popups sometimes and some new processes are added automatically in my rules and labelled as trusted.

Nah, I've been determined to not using AVs. No matter what the AV is, in the end I'll have to uninstall it due to certain problems that I can't tolerate. Even MSE froze and crashed Windows explorer. I admit that I haven't tried WSA myself, but I don't think any AVs in this world will fill my paranoid needs well enough. I love to fooling around so my security risk is higher than most people. :D

After giving different anti/virus programs a spin,Gdata,F-Secure and Kaspersky av I decided to stick w/ Emsisoft Security Pack...There's two many pluses to mention here but w/ this security program you can't go wrong in my opinion... :thumb:

You should at least try it, it's a great program. Would it make a difference if I told you it's not really an AV? It's not an AV, it's something else.

Okay maybe that's not true, but really it doesn't feel like other AV's I've used and there haven't been the usual AV problems. There's even free 6 months being offered, so you could give it a good workout.

RocketMan and FleischmannTV, if I keep this setup I'm going to have to change my name to morethanenough or muchtoomuch or enough2messupanymalware.;) So far I'm impressed that WSA and EAM are getting along. Somebody knows what they are doing.

Well, I've tried other AVs before and now I'm kind of too tired to expect anything better to happen. I agree that WSA seems to be great, but my computer is so picky and it usually will not going to change.

But it's still blacklisting, yes? ;)

People say MSE is the most troublefree AV, but it crashed Windows explorer on me. People say Norton is light, but it felt heavy to me. And as I said earlier, no AV will satisfy my paranoid requirements. Not because of the quality of the products, but because of their nature. AVs will work well enough for most people, but not for my needs. :)

I have auto mode enabled as well, I use ERP for my zero-day protection... I can always enable policy based mode if I feel like I need it but never do.

Totally understand, I've run for months at a time without any AV because of similar experiences. But if you get curious enough to try it, here's the link to where the free 6 months of WSA is offered: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=354285

Had to revert back to an avast image as CIS still has the cpu spiking issue,
It spikes to around 30% on a regular basis and i believe its the comodo av causing this.

Just give it a try. The installer is about 750KB and installs in a couple of minutes. It even configures itself according to your particular system configuration. It will not interfere with your work. It's the fastest, lightest and most efficient security solution. If you've given up hope on AVs, you'd surely find WSA an exception.;)

The same for one my laptopie. It lags with CIS 6.1 and later however i tried to fix it. It goes smooth with Avast free and EMET 4.0.

Perfect program except for the constant cpu spiking.
This is the 3rd attempt with the full suite but the comodo av is a bit heavy.
