For me CFW 6.3 and sandboxie 4.06 running in win 8.1 crashes firefox. Not sure why. I uninstall CFW and Firefox seems to be running fine without it installed. We'll wait and see if things get ironed out. Switching to OA free or maybe even AIS.

I'm perfectly happy with Win 7.

Yeah I was happy with Win 7 too. I had purchased a new laptop that had Win 8 on it. With startisback, I was starting to like Win 8. The "start button" in 8.1 is lame and really doesn't have the functionality that the old one had. Since CFW isn't playing nice it gives me time to try out OA 7 free. Which is working rather well in 8.1.

    I have CFW & SB 4.06 & Win7x64. I too am seeing FF crash.

(I delete GeekBuddy on all PCs. Every single comodo install produces a NSIS pop up generated by geek buddy to sucker users to pay for live help)

I have only used the FW. Very pleased with it. I don't see comodo on the AV comparison tests list. Do they use other engines? How effective is the AV, where can I read a comparison about it plz?

    They use their own engine.
It is doing pretty good lately.

No they use their own AV engine. :)

AV-Test is the only testing org that have tested Comodo I think.

Well, it does great on AV-Test, but that's the same one that wouldn't know a decimal point when it fell on them.

They have been certified by ICSA and West Coast Labs.
VB100 tested them few times and AVC made one unpublished test long time ago.

Emsisoft Online Armor has the option "Files and Registry" that protect files and registry keys from being read, deleted or modified by malicious programs.

My question is: Does Comodo have a similar option to this?

Yes, there is the "protected objects" tab that you can configure.

P.S.: I've seen some screenshots which show the "protected objects" tab is now separated into "file protection" tab, "registry protection" tab, and "COM protection" tab. I'm not sure about 6.3, but in 6.2 they are still under the aforementioned "protected objects" tab.
