For reason beyond my understanding , PC Mag has always (very) good reviews about WSA, even from day one......

One can notice that the review is rather advertising WSA than reviewing WSA!!!

    Technical results are something like:

“In my antiphishing test, Webroot's detection rate was 55 percentage points…”
“Webroot detected 94 percent of the threats infesting my test systems”

In any AV test on the internet , there are at least 3 leading AV which will score better (sometimes 100%) , so I do not get the whole enthusiasm for detecting 55%....

Because reviews look at the whole picture. Unlike some people on Wilders who have a very blinder-based Flavor of the Month, for example, reviews look at the consistency, the system impact, the user friendliness, etc.

If we went based on your criteria, I could posit the following:
Having your computer turned off and unplugged prevents 100% of all Phishing on it and 100% of all infections. Not a single infection even downloads!

Then by your criteria, the best review should be for turning off and unplugging the computer.

Balance. Big Picture. Make better sense now?

    +1

People seem to have been dumbed down by the almighty AVC tests.

You aren't looking at the right parts of the review - the technical detail is linked in it directly in blue (i.e. the Antiphishing chart: http://www.pcmag.com/image_popup/0,1871,iid=395211,00.asp)

niceeeeeeee. i have to say i have sadly had far less calls for removing malware than ever after setting clients up with wsa. i still keep VERY busy but for sure have seen less issues from those using wsa than many others.
