Presumably a patent issue would result in the trial being removed too, which isn't the case.

No disrespect, but we don't need countdown, or in this case, count up posts. Before we know it, others may join in and that disrupts the thread.

Isso will be in touch when he is ready and able to. Let's be patient.

Totally Agree Tony. Wonder how many of the posts would be made if it cost $1 a post?

Sorry, I lost my head for a minute. I wasn't starting a count up, just making an observation in my frustration. :)

I mentioned many times in this thread that as long as communication is good and /or there is a sign of progress, I'm all in. You can go in my past posts to see that.

I'm seeing nothing now. At some point, patience wears thin.

If indeed Isso has sold this excellent program to someone (and I don't blame him if he has, folks have to eat) then they are now calling the shots, not Isso, the program is now theirs. He cannot speak until THEY say that he can, that's just the way these things work, if that is what has really happened.

Like the media any air vacuum is immediately filled with "news", speculation and invented news. These days people have either o patience or - value patience.

    Okay folks

The two posts removed were from a new comer and really had nothing to do with this thread.

BUT.... note this thread is about the software, not about speculating about ISSO or his company or what is going on.

Things have been pretty loose, but enough. Any further posts not specifically relating to the software will go.

    Thanks for understanding.

Has anyone else besides me been experiencing backups/merges that get stuck at a random percentage every now and then when using the latest build (1145)?

Backups and merges no. Windows live restores occasionally. Also I've found 1145 is better for my XP machines, but 1133 is better for my Win 7 x64 machine.

I believe the hot restores where it freezes at so many percent is a known issue. Until it's completely fixed, if that happens to you, I've found a cold restore from a previously created recovery media works. In other words, reboot into the recovery media and do a restore that way.

In my personal experience, in three notebooks, I found Time Machine has "lags" under GPT partitions, in typical no GPTs partitions, really works well. I have been working with 1220, 1333 and 1145 versions, only I have found problems under GPT environment.

I now realise you're not, but most reports I've seen here about a freeze at so many percent have taken place during hot restores. Like Peter, I've not seen this during backups or merges. That's not to say it hasn't happened to anyone else, but I do hope it gets resolved for you. Maybe try submit a support ticket and see if you get some answer on this one.

Hey Isso. Really great to finally hear back from you and what is going on.

The news was kind of expected and it was just a matter of knowing who the other party was. However, I'm intrigued. I'm willing to go along. Given the uniqueness of your product/approach, we shouldn't be surprised that it caught someone's attention.

Will development of AX64 be on hold while work toward integration with RealCopy is ongoing? I couldn't find a clear answer to that in the release. Build 1145 is the latest non-official, but will there be a new official release?

Hmm, how will this affect current users of either product seeing that Realcopy is free? Will the new product continue with previous AX64 pricing? Will there be a free version (with Realcopy's feature set I assume)? Is it a major version update that will require new licenses?

Far better news than all the speculation nonetheless. Looking forward to new product.

I have already purchased AX64 on 7/26/2013. Is there a special offer for an upgrade to RealCopy as a replacement for AX64 when the new RealCopy software and website goes live?

    Hi Marc,

AX64 development will continue, but the focus will shift to RealCopy. I think there will be a new official AX64 release.

    J_L,

Thank you. Frankly I'm not in a position to answer these questions, but to the best of my knowledge RealCopy will be free. I'll try to get more detailed information later.
