Isn't it moot, now that I am trying to start all over with a fresh install, as I have posted in another thread? :)

Regarding those who have many unknowns in scan logs mentioned earlier which can cause monitoring it would be handy to be able to submit unknowns to support without have to raise a ticket as most of the time its not urgent or a technical issue & doesn't really warrant support having to mail me back? Just a thought.

    :D

Unfortunately it's the best way as the Threat Researchers are the one's whitelisting them to make sure there not malicious in any way. Also if it's a well known program and many WSA users use it usually gets whitelisted fast in the Cloud automatically.

I can't force the update by using "check for software updates?" I have to wait for it to be sent automatically? Is that right?

Sometimes the manual check will bring the update, but not always. Such a major update as this is being pushed out in stages.

You can either wait for it to be delivered to you automatically or go to the Downloads section of My Account to get a fresh copy, if you want it right now. :)

Here is the Download link you can install over top but it's best to do a clean reinstall. Uninstall reboot and install and make sure you have a copy of your keycode as you will need it during install. But as Tony said the link is always in your My Webroot Online Account.

There is no link in my webroot console. Is that different from my online accounto_O

The link from the My Account tab in the program says I have the latest software which I do not.

So I don't know where this online my webroot that contains the link is.

    Hi Joe

Just want to come back to advise that 2014 is working flawlessly here, and cohabiting with the latest version of KIS...also perfectly...as far as I can see.

As they say in the US; "Good job", and in the UK; "Damn fine effort, what!" :D

    Regards, Baldrick

You log in to gain access to the web console, then at top right hand corner where your email address is displayed, you can click on further options accessible by the drop-down arrow, such as Downloads. See screenshot:

Any idea when the re-designed web shield will be working? No rush...just curious.

The 2014 web filtering is being rolled out more slowly than the push of the new product itself. This is to help them with distribution server-wide. No ETA yet, but the product release has only just begun within the last week.

Should I uninstall this new version before I upgrade to Windows 8.1 in a couple of days (to avoid possible conflicts)?
I know it's compatible with Windows 8.1 but I just want your confirmation.
    Thanks.

I haven't tried an upgrade of Windows 8 yet myself so someone else would probably be better to answer, but Microsoft in the past has requested that AVs be disabled during the upgrade (although I don't think we would need to be, but I'm not sure if they'd show some prompt to warn that you need to disable it).

I upgraded my 2 VM's from 8 to 8.1 RTM and WSA was left on during the upgrade and I didn't have any issues.

Given the substantial changes, is WSA still written in 100% C?

Got the new version running on Vista, Win7 and Win 8 with no issues. Plus my phone. No issues at all.
