Isso, are you now able to tell us why you've been gone for so long and why the payment page is down?

It's been 6 days since he said about a week. Tomorrow is a week. About a week is about 7 to 10 days. :D

    3 is about 4, so the square root of 3 is 2 :D :D

Please Guys (and Gals...just to be politically correct...in case ;) ) give the guy a break. He knows that we want to know what is going on and, from the little that I know of Isso, he will tell us as soon as he can/is able to...since he really cares about his users/customers.

Let's continue to give him some space to work things out...which ever way they are fated to go.

    Cheers, Balders

PS: Hopefully not construed as a "twee remark" ;)

Hi Baldrick, I was just jerking Zero3k's chain for fun. :D I'm sure Isso will honor his statement in the time frame when he is able. ;)

    Hi twl

I knew that is what you were doing but some around these parts (oh, dear...another "twee remark" :gack: ) are not so playful.

I too hope that Isso is able to let us know what is happening in the aforementioned timescales...but may not be due to circumstances...hence my plea that he 'does not need to worry about us' at this time...because sure as eggs is eggs he will if he feels he is letting us down. That is the sort of guy I believe he is...a rarity in the developer community.

    Cheers, Balders

PS: SO fingers crossed for speedy news, eh? ;)

    Baldrick,
Another opinion could be that you don't need to police the comments here relating to people asking about the status of AX64. Personally, I can be patient, but others who have paid for a program in limbo have every right to ask about it. That's the great thing about forums.

    Hi MB

Appreciate what you are saying but the intent is not to 'police'. I am not telling people not to post...I am just trying to point out that continually going on about the status of the program, especially as Isso has been good enough to come here, albeit very briefly, and advise as to when he expects to be able to let us know the position, just generates unnecessary pressure for a good and honourable guy...who most probably does not need it on top of what he may be involved in. That is all.

Apologies if I in anyway offend people here. That was not the intent...but as I have been effectively told to 'get off the case' I will say no more re. this until we hear back from the man himself.

    Hope that satisfies?

Regards, Balders (I know my place :gack: )

Hi Baldrick, I am not familiar with the expression "twee". Is that a British expression? I love to learn new ones. Like my yank expression "jerk his chain" I used above, or another one would be rattle his cage. :)

    Hi twl

Just going off topic for an instant to respond...don't know if it is specifically British...maybe...but the urban dictionary defines 'twee' as "Something that is sweet, almost to the point of being sickeningly so. As a derogatory descriptive, it means something that is affectedly dainty or quaint, or is way too sentimental.".

That is what I have been accused of making (apparently)...:D

Now back on topic...and PM me if required...;)

I inquired about a thank\like button, it fell on death ears...I don't need remarks about Isso's appreciation by proxy either...I don't need another member telling me the boundaries of any posts or questions I have in this thread either, mods are here to do that.

That is why I said previously "Apologies if I in anyway offend people here. That was not the intent...but as I have been effectively told to 'get off the case' I will say no more re. this until we hear back from the man himself."

    Point made...move on.

Okay guys. I think this is enough. Remember, I have "dislike" button.

    Thanks,

I will jump in real quick and say. I suspect it fell on deaf ears because once upon a time we had a like button of sorts...it was called a Karma Cookie. Please don't ask on this thread.

    BTW..Thank you
I have since formatted with a fresh Win 7 64 install with lots of good backups/images etc
Its too hard to remove Time Machine thoroughly without issues though ones mileage may vary.
That way if I do use it again I have previous fresh "slate" to go back to.

100% agree, and if its not this week it will happen when he is able, pushing will get nowhere.

Edit: We are not children here, the "week is up, I want an ans now" is ,,,,,,well, I don't know what it is but it makes no sense to me,,,,, however, lest I raise the ire of others on this forum, this will be the last I will say on the subject. Isso will speak when he is able to and not before. Thats good enough for me. BTW, re those who paid for a license and feel that that gives them some sort of right to demand an ans,,,,,,, I bought a family license for myself, and bought a single license as a gift for a friend,,,,, and I paid for them in full even though I could have gotten them for free. In addition I got a few friends to purchase licenses (though they did so via bits-de-jour) I did this because I wanted to support Isso and I feel that by allowing him to move at the pace he feels he can move at is also, in a small way, supporting him,,,,,,but thats just me I guess.

Glad to help (or at least try to help).

If Isso is able to get AX64 going again (AX64 may continue to exist but if it is sold he may not be involved) a request for a clean un-instal option would be a good idea I think.

BTW, did you contact support about this issue?

Yes he knows about my uninstall issue
    Revo couldn't even do it.
I had tried every way safe mode as well even had Resplendent Registry, JV-16 and manually locating to show the ton of keys/ locations, and used all to help cleanup but to no avail period!
He wanted the BSOD after the programs uninstaller's failure but I just wanted to get it off.
When there's a proper uninstaller I may use it again
Until then i won't use it

I am sorry to hear that you have given up, at least for the time being, on AX64. I have never tried to uninstal and have not heard of others (that I can recall, this thread is huge) that have tried to uninstall it so I think your experience is valuable. Its a shame you were not able to get the blue screen info for Isso so he could figure out whats going on.

Sounds like this is a job for (drum roll) IssoFrog,,,,,!!!up up and away!!! :D

    Hi tyreman

I have uninstalled AXTM (by running the uninstaller provided) and never run into the issues that you describe. The uninstall has always seemed to work 'perfectly' but then admittedly I have reinstalled AXTM not to long afterwards...albeit after one reboot, etc.

Can't quite see what would be causing the issue other than a problem/clash between something on your system & the AXTM driver.

But have to agree that if the uninstaller does leave Reg entries then it does need to be changed to tidy up better.

    Regards, Balders

I also have done quite a few un installs finding the versions that worked on which machines. No problems here.

Be sure no security software is messing with you. Also be sure it's shutdown completely.

    Pete

PS. If you don't want to help them find the cause and no one else is having problems, you may never be able to use it.

A couple people I have back chatted with uninstalled it by having previous other backup imaging solutions on board and said images/backups done before Time Machine was on.
They didn't uninstall Time machine with its uninstaller.
Its hard to know who has or has not had trouble.

I spent some time arbitrarily installing/uninstalling AX64 and Macrium in various sequence, before/after backups, etc... Nothing out of the ordinary happened for me. AX64 always uninstalled itself property and fully. So did Macrium. Not a problem.
