    +1....
    - prevention of infection #1
    - real time protection #2
That's why I like your tests because they separate Web filtering engines vs definitions.

I am not trying to belittle or marginalize Adrian Ścibor's credentials, but the website says...
Information: Science student, editor of the news portal. Interests: anti-virus software and technology used to detect viruses.

I mean that description could apply to hundreds of people who populate this forum. Does he have the right to set up their own "Independent Testing Lab"? Why not? Everyone online now seems to have their own video testing and or websites dedicated to the world of malware. There is nothing wrong with that but it does not mean Adrian Ścibor knows what he's doing. I have multiple issues with his testing and what the extent of his knowledge is, but gee, his site sure looks swell! I am not about to start using a site like this as a valid independent testing source. Again, I mean no slight to anyone in particular, but just consider what I am saying. I wish you well avlab.

I would have liked to see Avira tested.

What about that new hypnotic malware that subliminally flashes on the downloaded website screen:

"All your monies are belong to us .Please to send all of thems to: J Smith,123 SO Hojan St, Nigeria" ?

I'd like that website blocked :)

+1, I was suprised that Avira wasnt blocked. It has a top notch web filter and a very good real time protection.

They are new to the field, there are things to improve and its very good to know that they take actions and opinions in a positive way, they are willing to change and improve.

Unfortunately the biggest issue still hasn't been addressed: Their claim to be independent when in fact they aren't. As long as they continue to use PreBytes as their only source, you can still buy your 100% detection in their test.

Google translate is more than good enough to translate it.

    Yep.

    But everybody starts somewhere.

I've been around this site long enough to remember when our own AV Comparatives was similar -- a start up.

So good for these guys for taking the initiative, testing and publishing.

Certainly, limitations have been pointed out.

And as always -- the Emsisoft dude raises a good point (being able to buy a test result).

But thanks AVLab -- for another data point.
