    Hi Isso

I am sure that that I speak for (almost) all here when I say that we wish you well, and success, in your endeavors going forward...be it with AXTM or something else...but hopefully the former. :D

    Regards and respect

So it would seem a buy out is likely, well good luck to Isso.... If it is so I hope it puts a lot of $$$$$ in his pocket for such a unique product.

Probably best to cash in rather than persevere in what is a shrinking market. Good luck to him. I'm looking forward to Acronis HyperRestore or whatever the future may hold.

Can I take this Off Topic for a moment? ;)

I have run my backups in manual mode only. So, I assume that I can still revert back in time, but I should NOT remove any of them.

ie: If I have backup 1 to 7 about 35 days from first to last I assume I need ALL of them. I know I can remove all of them and do another full backup, but wanted to be sure that I must keep them all if I want to revert back. If I remove 7, will 6 and below work OK?

OK, back to the Isso speculation!

You can delete a manual snap and it will be merged just as if it had been an automatic snap....BE SURE TO DELETE FROM WITHIN THE AX64 BROWSER or you will break the chain.

Hey Isso, really great to hear from you. I sincerely hope that you will benefit significantly from whatever is going on. All my fingers are crossed for you (makes it hard to type though).

    A question peeps,

Clean install of new netbook on windows 7 32bit, created an 18gb first baseline image, with ax64, all good,

later on create a snapshot backup of 500mb, i reinstalled the 500mb snapshot and noticed somedowns on startup and program crashes.

I decided to install the baseline image and every thing works great, but when i install the 500 mb snaphot which was done a few hours after,

startup is slow, loading music crackles and program crashes again.

    can any one explain.

Clearly something is wrong with the 500 mb snap, I would suggest deleting it after you have copied any files that may have been created between it and the snap previous to it, that you want to keep, and then try a new snap and later revert to it (I assume you are testing AX64 right?).

    @bgoodman4,

on my other machine im using version 45,

I installed stable trial 1120 from the site, so hopefully payments will start again soon, or i will just revert to Easeus todo backup, if Isso has decided to sack of AX64, we will wait and see what comes to pass.

    regards

    :)

For me 1145 solved all my issues.

I did an install over and the gui says 1131, but it worked

    Before

Desktop.Win 7x64 70% of the time windows restores worked
Big Laptop Windows XP Pro SP3. Couldn't mount images windows restore wouldn't work at all
ThinkPad Tablet. XP Tablet. Couldn't mount images but windows restore about 70%

    After

    Desktop WIndows restore 100%
Big Laptop Can mount images, and so far Wind Restore 1005
    Thinkpad Same as Big Laptop.

So if you are having issues you might try 1145.

    Pete

Could be interesting to know the differences between 1145 and 1131 or the "stable" version. That can help us, I'm talking about drivers, sound, graphics, wifi, etc. and its behavior respect these versions. I'm with Peter, the 1145 version is better, in my personal experience.

    Hi legacy

1145 (apparently looking to resolve some 'hot' restore variability issues) was causing me a couple of other issues when I tested it, so I reverted back to 1133 which has proved to be relatively stable (apart from the 'hot' restore variability issues) in terms of auto & manual snaps & 'cold' restores.

Clearly the safest approach is the last officially released version, i.e., 1120, but you may want to give 1133 a go...you never know. :D

Until we hear back formally from Isso re. where AXTM is headed I think that it is a case of "what works best for you on your setup".

    Regards, Baldrick

Well my trials up, I'm ready to buy but nowhere to complete the transaction. Not very often no-one wants my money.:D

TBH I like the product but some of this reminds me of too many other scenarios that have ended with me paying for a product that effectively ceases to exist so maybe lack of a purchase option will prove to be a good thing!

Kept a pre- install IFW snapshot and glad I did but don't want to give up my AX64 snapshots just yet. Hoping for a quick but positive resolution.

    Cheers

For some time there was this free giveaway from a Polish computer magazine PC Format. This was build 1121 which should be basically identical to 1120.

This free version is still floating around on the Internet, so this might be a temporary solution for people who cannot purchase AX64 at the moment...

    Cheers

September is been a tremendously busy month for me but is beginning to abate enough so I can get back more active here once again. In the meantime and I must add, what spare time I dig out, I have also been enjoying the privilege of flawless operational activity from AX 64 Time Machine. A welcome work of software art indeed. Looking forward to the next new improvements myself. Everyone take care and my appreciation as always to Isso! :thumb:
