    Hi Mantra,

It has the option of making recovery media (cd/dvd/usb/iso) built into the program. Also, some people have done bare metal restore and it works fine.

    Best regards,

    Mohamed

bgoodman4, I tried AX64 as you suggested. I made the backup in just over 12 min. Where other programs took from 30 to 45 min. This is one fast program, Thanks

From posts above it sounds like support is still active. I would suggest you contact support and ask for help in this matter.

Yes, it is quite the program,,,,and such a young one at that. Hopefully things get back on track and the program continues to grow into the premier backup solution available.

I know I have said that speculation is a waste of time and we should not do it but I have been thinking,,,,,,,,,,

Given the threat that AX64 posses to normal imaging and snapshot programs it should come as no surprise if some of the deep pockets companies are either trying to buy AX64 or possibly trying to kill it somehow (patent trolls etc). As noted above, of these 2 possibilities, I hope its the former as Isso clearly has put his heart and soul into this app and he deserves to reap the rewards.

Of course the issue could be something else but as noted above only time will tell.

:argh: :D  You folks are a riot!

First of all Isso has never eaten a FLY in his entire life, nor has he ever used the expression <ribbit>! Clearly we are mutually exclusive :p

Being the "virtual" VP of Marketing for AX64 TM, no contact has been had with other members of the "virtual" board since we've never had a "virtual" meeting.

Being a bit more serious, I have had some recent contact with Isso concerning a technical issue and he assures me that it's being dealt with... no mention of corporate status at that time. If I were a betting man, since issues are still being worked on I believe the company, as small and fledgling as it may be, is in the process of being acquired by one of its very scared competitors. The thing that may concern me is that the acquisition may be for elimination purposes rather than incorporating new and exciting technologies... I would hope for the latter if it's really an acquisition that's occurring.

Sorry I cannot offer any additional insight to these issues.

TWL845... sorry for the non-response. I've just returned from the right side of the pond where I was biking the "Route de Grand Cru" in Burgundy, FR for 13-days... and drinking most of what we found

This is beginning to look like when I purchased my $69 copy of FDISR, and weeks later it went out of production leaving us with our copy to use as is for years. I'm still using it on my old WIN XP computer which I gave to my Daughter. Now she's almost bullet proof. Now I have my AX64 v1.2.0.1120. :(

    Hi guys,

I'm sorry again for my silence. There is an important reason behind it, it's not that I don't want to participate in this forum. I think in approximately a week I'll be able to explain to you the reasons, and give you the update on the project status. Thank you

Great to hear from you Isso.

Can't wait to see the reason! I am sure it is understandable.

Hi Isso, Thanks for the heads up. I understand that you can't divulge info until as you say, "next week", but as you have been reading here members are wringing their hands. Can you give us a :thumb: if it's good news? :D

Glad to see you. There's been a lot of annoying drama when you were gone. I'm predicting that within this one week period, a lot more will come. Apparently your assurances of explanations coming up aint enough for people who love speculations. Amyway, wish you all the best as to whatever you are dealing with.;) ;)
