Sounds like a joke to me, are the updates not that important why make them in the first place?
It`s like Windows would only update at every service pack, cmon!
Please, take this seriously and fix the updates or give us a button for manual update.

I do not have the details of the v2.2.1 update so I cannot provide a definite reason to your question. But the update may have implemented hotfixes to address the installation issues some users were reporting. In the case a global update was required at the time it would have been sent out.

Again, yesterday I came across a installation still running V2.1.
Surely during the time this was released until now V2.2.1, there must have been some high priority updates that should qualify for a global update?

GUI could use a refresh. Can scans be scheduled on the Pro?

Just install it with everything, then uninstall the toolbar in Add/Remove Programs, and you'll still have the web filtering....

Yes, now that I think about it, the interface could use a little repairing. I'll forward any UI feedback to the other team members. As for your earlier question, Mr. Hammer, scans cannot be scheduled but you can turn on the background scanning function.

Sorry I haven't been around Wilders as I've gotten quite busy. If you run into issues, please join us at the forum for troubleshooting.

Colourful buttons (like in Panda Internet Security 2014) would be great. ;)

It has always been the case afaik. It has been mentioned probably over 20 times in different threads over the years that doing this works fine.

Unless something has changed in V 2.2 of course, but that I know nothing about. HTH :)

Plus, when you choose to install the toolbar during installation, 2 entries are created in Add/Remove Programs, one for the toolbar and one for the URL filter. If you uninstall the toolbar, the URL filter is still there, which can also be verified through Running Process of Task Manager or by using the URL filter test page:

Re: Panda Cloud Antivirus 2.2 Released

On my computer, there are 2 programs in the add/remove programs. The toolbar, and the antivirus.

I have another question: in the advanced settings, there is an option to "ask before neutralizing viruses in an on access scans"

I take it that means it will not automatically delete files when a detection occurs? Will it put files in the recycle bin where they can be restored if the detection is found out to be a FP? Also, in an on demand scan, can you choose to put detections in the recycle bin? My main concern with Panda is, I've read that previous versions have messed people's computers up because Panda just starts deleting files when it detects something!

Thanks! I like the product. It's the lightest I've tried by far.

Perhaps they changed it, but you should still be able to see the URLfilter process in Task Manager and you can test with the testing URL.

Really like this little AV program, but it's driving me nuts losing my exclusion list whenever the system is restarted.

10/18 Edit: Also seeing some erratic behavior from programs I attempt to open after coming out of sleep mode, or hibernation. Trying to determine cause, but have a gut feeling it may be Panda.

10/19 Edit: Think I've solved the puzzle of programs' erratic behavior after sleep/hibernation. Thursday, in advance settings I enabled 'background scanning after synchronization'. Last nite before going into hibernation I disable the feature, which it is by default. No issue today. Exclusions not solved, but shouldn't be an issue since this AV is agreeable with the other security programs on-board.

Exclusion an usb vaccination works fine on my PC for each reboot. :D
Redownload the setup file i think they fixed the bugs and updated the setup without changing the file version :p

Make sure you do a clean install (uninstall existing old version > reboot > download new setup > install > reboot) :argh:

No problems here with Panda Cloud AV. I think it's my favourite free AV: Light, no need to register/renew licences, no crippled updates, great detection. :thumb:
