It would be great ( maybe far-fetched) if secureaplus gets baidu AV on board for its AVs. I think the 3 engines of baidu would be a great addition to secureaplus Av if they accept.

I have been testing baidu AV lengthy and it seems very powerful compare to all those I had before. I have been getting many detection warning and malware blocking then I had with 360IS, AVG, CIS, etc. and others. I am very impressed. Never I have seen so many REAL detection and blocking in any AVs.

Also I noticed during my testing of secureaplus, that whan a warning message popped-up it only had the name of the app and what was giving the warning and NO FULL TARGET LOCATION OR DESCRIPTION.

For example when a warning came up for "bootspeed.exe", it did not gave the full detail of location like "C:/program file/auslogic/bootspeed/bootspeed.exe" in a description so we would know where and what has caused it.

So maybe you guys can add that detail to secureaplus. Also I no-longer see a way to manually add to whitelist and only trusted certificate and others in the white-list advance setting? IS that where we add manually to white-listo_O

Thanks for letting us know your OS.

Before I forget, you can find the log file at C:\ProgramData\SecureAge Technology\SecureAge\log\whitelist.log. Sorry, I think I may have given you the wrong path previously.

Hi taleblou, this is an interesting piece of information :) Can you share with me what kind of malware have you tested on it? Have you tried Avast and Avira?

Well I did real world testing. Browsing questionable sites and running unknown or questionable programs and installing, I get warnings and popups in all situation and on at-least 3 occasion when I was downloading good less known cleaning softwares that were packed with hidden malwares, I get malware detection and cleaning while virustotal does not show any other Av detecting. SO I checked them and found them to be REAL adwares and infected.

Anyway before I had tested extensively comodo IS, AVG IS, 360IS, Avast free, Bitdefender free and they never gave so much indication and detection as baidu AV had in the past several days.

For me it will be a keeper and will use it form now on until if there is a better AV is found.

By the way baidu antivirus uses 3 engines of baidu antivirus, baidu cloud and AVIRA engines.

Hi taleblou, we are unable to reproduce the problem you have encountered. We have tested Baidu Antivirus and Baidu PC Faster with SecureAPlus at the same time. There seems to be no problem updating the software or performing a scan. Please see the screen captures below. Installation sequence may affect the compatibility issues. Perhaps you can share with us which software did you install first - SecureAPlus or Baidu Antivirus? Does the problem happen during the initial whitelisting or after the initial whitelisting has completed? To help us to diagnose this problem better, it will be good if you can send us the log file from C:\ProgramData\SecureAge Technology\SecureAge\log\whitelist.log to secureaplus@secureage.com.

Hi taleblou, you can actually see the full path by hovering your mouse over the file name. I think we need to improve on this so that it is more obvious to the users. Thanks for making us realise that the path information appears after mouse hovering may not be very user-friendly :thumb:

    saplus_path1.png

If you click on the file name, it will open the Windows Explorer and direct you to the file.

    saplus_path2.png

Users can manually add the file to the whitelist by doing a right-mouse click on the file to set its trust level.

    saplus_path3.jpg

But we just realize SecureAPlus' right-click context menu will not appear if the whitelisting is not yet completed and you have started the time freeze and rebooted your machine. Is this the case?

Perhaps you can try to reinstall SecureAPlus again to see whether the context menu appears.

Yes, you can also to the whitelisting advanced setting to manually add the trusted file.

Looking forwards to seeing more feedback from you ;)

well the way I had it is secureaplus was the last product installed in a system with both baidu AV and Baidu pc faster.

I do not know why secureaplus is causing these issues on my system that you can not reproduce??

Its strange and has me dumpfied.

Here is what I can do. I will uninstall baidu av and pc faster. install secureaplus again and then install baidu av and see if any issues comes up. will let you know.

Also in the next few days I may be moving all my pcs incl. this one to linux for security reason. So I will test secureaplus again and let you know.

well I did uninstall both baidu antivirus and pc faster and cleaned the pc. I then installed secureaplus without AV and let it finish initial scan and then installed baidu antivirus and after both finished rebooted and now baidu Av works without issues. It can now be manually updated and scanned. So what ever was causing this is gone now.

It seems firefox flag secureaplus site as risky and dangerous and hitman pro now flagged "sanotifier.exe" in the whitelist of secureaplus folder as TROJAN: win32/backdoor behavior?

So you guys should look into this.

I think you shouldnt have baidu pc faster and baidu av on the same computer... baidu pc faster has the same cloud av as baidu av so this would mean it would be double scanning files.

I think it gets disabled after one year, with 1 referral adding six months. If you get six referrals, it will become lifetime.

    Hi:

From my lengthy testing over the year, I think the 3 AVs that secureage should look into to incorporate in their secureaplus to replace clam av, should be a combination of these 3 if possible if not then 2 of them and if not one of them. These 3 would offer great protection and detection.

    -Bitdefender
    -Avira
    -Kaspersky

Ah, thank you. How exactly does a refferal work though? Does the perdon you reffered to.it have to use the product (stupid question forgive me) or some other way?

If you invite up to 6 friends within a year, you will get a perpetual license for free! You can also get a free perpetual license if you join SecureAPlus beta program which we will be conducting in a few months' time :)
