Any bugs that has plagued the users in the previous versions/releases. I can't really specify what bugs since I'm not a user of BD's products, but there are some people mentioned about them.

Disappointed with Bitdefender this time. So many bugs in the Internet Security 2014 release it's driving me nuts. Shifting from 'autopilot' to user mode randomly, turning off 'auto-update' by itself randomly, and even when I turn off scheduled system scan it still fricking start it!!! It even pops up a bubble telling me to click the icon to get the scan up, but when I do the the scan shuts down before it starts again 5 minutes later. The 'Wallet' function freezing up all the time. No way you can release a final product with so many bugs and issues.

I'm running BD2014 on two Windows 7 machines and I'm not seeing any of the issues you describe. What OS are you using, and are you running other security software along with BD?

Running Windows 8. No other security software apart from Malwarebytes on-demand, so no interference. I also tried the Bitdefender Windows 8 security which is made for that OS specifically and I experienced bunch of bugs there too. Seems like their software isn't quality checked a lot on this OS.

That being said, I really liked Bitdefenders features, and if they get a good quality check next time around they release an update I'll give it another shot.

For now I'm on Kaspersky 2014, no problems whatsoever.

I am very pleased with BD IS. It runs well, and I do not know it is there as far as load goes.

I like the security when using my laptop with an unsecured WiFi, and have found that the Wallet runs well also. Although I do not know much technically, I think that Wallet may be a little more secure password manager than the browser password manager.

Thanks for clarifying - sounds like they haven't achieved full compatibility with Windows 8 yet.

Is anyone having the reboot issue to replace all files after a build update? It's a problem that bugged me in 2013 version & is now happening in 2014. Am on my seventh reboot now & expect this will continue all day! Others in the BD forum are experiencing this but it never seems to get resolved. Anyone here using BD getting this nightmare issue?

Lately I've been getting an "update event" notice saying that a reboot is required to finish an update, but after rebooting the same notice appears after BD checks for updates. Is that what you mean? It seems that either the update is not applying or perhaps the notice is incorrect? It doesn't seem to cause any other problems though.

Yes that's the exact problem!? To me it's a bug or the new build update is corrupted.

My current build number is 17.17.0.773

I'll check it the next time I get the notice and reboot.

I'm using Windows 8, the normal version.
    I don't experience the update/reboot bug.
After the very first fresh install I get an update that is quite large and I get the event notice (via the red box with a 1 on the widget) to restart.

The only thing I see now is when I click the systray icon or the desktop widget to open the BD window is that the "AutoPilot" jumps to "User Mode", it is not particularly quick and is easy noticable.
I did turned off the autopilot and set it to User Mode as soon as I could (near the end of the fresh install and I clicked manually on User Mode to be sure).

I'm not sure if this is a purely graphical quirk. Other than this the program seems to work quite well and I experience no other bugs or reboot issues.

Also a sidenote here: I did manually reboot as soon as the installation was complete and BEFORE the download of the first update that requires a reboot.
I'm so used to rebooting when installing new software that I automatically did this myself without the request to do it from the software itself.
Maybe, and this is pure speculation on my part, this prevented me from having the update/reboot issue ?
But then again it could have nothing to do with it. I really don't know.

The version I use at this very moment is 17.17.0.773 and it is the Bitdefender Internet Security (2014) version. OS is windows 8 (not 8.1).
The program seems very stable in my opinion; wallet works, toolbar works, email integration works.

Anyway, I thought I'd give my two cents. My apologies if this is isn't really helping much, but I thought to write down my own install and run experience with BD 2014.

I've noticed that for the past couple of days the problem has ceased. How about for you?
